Colt McCoy Solidifies Spot as the Cleveland Browns' Starting QB
It is really beginning to look as though the "experts" who continue to pick against Cleveland will soon find themselves unemployed.
The Cleveland Browns' new dynamic duo of Colt McCoy and Peyton Hillis simply demolished another top-tier team, this time the NFL-best New England Patriots, 34-14.
In a game that the Browns were widely picked to lose, Cleveland simply played with more energy and heart as they swarmed Tom Brady all day, leading to a pedestrian 19-of-36, 224-yard, two-touchdown day.
Now 2-1 as a starter and having defeated two teams with a combined 10-3 record, McCoy, in my eyes, has solidified the Browns' starting quarterback spot.
No rookie quarterback in recent memory has defeated the defending Super Bowl champion on the road and the team with the league's best record in successive weeks, let alone drop an average of 32 points a game on them, either.
Also, not many rookie quarterbacks have had success against a Bill Belichick team, let alone posted a 101.3 QB rating.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
What is really beginning to set McCoy apart from other Browns quarterbacks is his mobility, as evidenced by his 16-yard touchdown run, and his accuracy, as evidenced by his two impressive throws to Joshua Cribbs and Mohammed Massaquoi.
Another thing that sets McCoy apart is his touch on deep balls, such as the 28-yard pass completion to tight end Evan Moore that set up a Hillis touchdown run.
McCoy was also aided by Hillis's demolishing runs. Hillis's 35-yard romp sealed the game. The duo of McCoy and Hillis has given Cleveland an offensive tandem that it has sorely lacked.
One can't say too much about Hillis, who is continuing on a Pro Bowl-like tear, rushing for a career-high 186 yards and two touchdowns as the Patriots surrendered their most points all year to a 2-5 team with a rookie QB.
As for the much-anticipated handshake between Eric Mangini and his former mentor-turned enemy, Bill Belichick, I'm sure it was much sweeter than the Gatorade running down Mangini's face.
For the Browns and their fans, they have the satisfaction of finally finding their quarterback.
