Cam Newton: 5 NFL Teams That Could Use His Services in April
Auburn Tigers star quarterback Cam Newton, after his recent allegations, could find himself making the jump to the NFL.
Looking at NFL teams, some franchises, like the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts, are set in stone with strong quarterbacks like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning leading the offensive charge.
On the other hand, there are some teams who are struggling to find their footing and could use a talent such as Newton in their lineup.
Here are five teams that might consider drafting Newton to help their struggling offense.

Minnesota Vikings

This is the final season for Brett Favre.
No, I'm serious. Stick a fork in him because he's done.
What Favre has brought to the sport of football is immeasurable. Throughout his life and football career, he has proven to be a fighter in every way, battling illness, injury and family tragedy.
The Vikings have had a tumultuous season and sit second to last in the NFC North, 2-5 and 0-4 on the road. This has been centered on his rough season as well.
Not only has Favre had to battle the now infamous sexting scandal with Jenn Sterger, but he's also faced injuries to the elbow and ankle and a sliced chin. Favre's availability to play has been in question for some time, which only adds to the team pressure since dependability cannot be placed on Favre.
After this season, the Vikings will definitely be on the hunt for a new quarterback.
Cleveland Browns

With the number of injuries plaguing Cleveland Browns quarterbacks, they might consider adding Newton to the lineup.
Rookie quarterback Colt McCoy has taken hold of the reins since such injuries, and he's done a fair job. He started his NFL career against the last two Super Bowl champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints.
His stats have been decent with 355 yards, two interceptions and six sacks in two games. But is McCoy the long-term answer?
Maybe.
McCoy will have an easier time playing against one of the worst passing defenses in the league in the New England Patriots, but McCoy may not be what coach Eric Mangini is looking for.
The Browns haven't been too impressive of a team, and a hotshot quarterback might spark the team to review its identity.
Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will sit for Week 9 in their game against the New York Giants due to a concussion.
At 35 years old, Hasselbeck's age is beginning to show, and it was very clear in the Hawks' Halloween game against the Oakland Raiders that resulted in a 33-3 loss.
Hasselbeck dealt with bad throws, bad hits and overall bad bounces, which built up to a terrible game and one of Hasselbeck's worst in a long time. The question has been floating for some time now if his time to retire is slowly approaching.
Hasselbeck has often been accused of not having a good arm. A good remedy for that problem would be drafting Newton, who certainly has a strong arm of his own.
Last week's loss shouldn't hang on Hasselbeck's shoulders, but it may be a sign for younger talent to enter the picture while letting go of the older players.
Buffalo Bills

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and right now the 0-7 Buffalo Bills are desperate.
Any team that remains winless cannot put the blame solely on one player, but could quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's job be on the line?
The Bills' pathetic winless streak have restless fans look for answers, and those answers could be pointing to Newton, whose rushing and throwing game is something to behold. Maybe a new face in the QB position will vamp up the offense.
Simply put, the Bills need to make some changes and additions, and the position of quarterback is one that is never ignored.
Chicago Bears
5 of 5
The Chicago Bears had a fantastic start to the season, going 3-0, but things fell to shambles when the team lost three of the next four games before heading into the bye week.
Criticism immediately went to quarterback Jay Cutler, who has been experiencing some inconsistencies in recent weeks. Turnovers have been an overwhelming problem.
The Bears need to look at running the ball more often since they have only run the ball more than 19 times just twice this season. Successful running of the ball would put less dependency on Cutler to throw the perfect pass, which he hasn't been doing.
It doesn't help that he's been sacked an NFL-leading 31 times, nine of them happening in one game against the Giants, which forced him to sit for a week because of concussion symptoms.
Newton could be the man for the job because he sees so much success in both his running and passing games.
