Linda McMahon Loses: What Does Her Senate Loss Mean For The WWE
Polls are showing that Richard Blumenthal defeated Linda McMahon to clinch the Connecticut senate seat in today's election. What does this mean for WWE?
For one thing, it means WWE won't have an insider in the government fighting for them on issues like classifying wrestlers as private contractors to avoid insurance costs.
Linda's Senate ambitions are why many people believe the WWE went PG. This may be true, but Vince McMahon is not stupid; he recognizes that kids make up a huge amount of the merchandise sales, both at live events and online.

All this combined with the bad press WWE got for allowing their wrestlers to continue wrestling while bleeding profusely made the decision to go PG a very easy one.
Vince returned to Raw this past Monday in a segment that saw him waking from a coma with Linda campaign stickers all over him, as well as a Blumenthal banner hanging from his rear end.
I liked the segment a lot despite the obvious pandering to WWE's audience. I thought Vince declaring that he hated politics was smart; it made it seem as if he hasn't been fighting for Linda this whole time.
The return of Stephanie and HHH in the same segment could be signs of the Game returning to TV sometime in the near future. His one time appearance at the Fan Appreciation Night was considered a safe match, allowing HHH to protect his still injured pectoral muscle.
I miss the Game on Raw; he provides a degree of experience that none of the other Raw stars have right now. He is also pretty funny, so that adds to his entertainment value.
The biggest question about Linda's loss is whether this means she will return to WWE in some kind of role, or if she will continue to distance herself from the company in order to run again in the future.
One thing is for sure—I don't expect to see Linda on WWE TV anytime soon and I also expect WWE to ignore the fact that she lost today.
What did you guys think of the Linda losing and the return of Mr. McMahon?
