WWE RAW Results, Questions and Comments (Nov. 1)
It's the start of the second week of build towards Survivor Series, and because it's Monday, it's time for the "Red" show, Monday Night RAW!
Just as I have been doing for the past few months, it's time once again for my comments, questions and analysis on WWE's weekly flagship show.
If you can appreciate a Jerry Seinfeld type of humor, you can understand basically what I'm trying to go for with this article...though with my time constraints and a son who is just barely six months old, I'm unable to devote enough time to this article to make it as good as it could be.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Try to enjoy it, and if any of the questions seem too "elementary," I apologize. There's probably a follow-up comment that gives you more information as to why I posed that particular question.
Comments are appreciated. If you put them on my GuysNation version of this article instead of other outlets, I appreciate it even more.
I run that site, and I'm hoping that someday it'll help me pay for daycare for my son...which is surprisingly destructive to my wallet.
Questions still outstanding from previous shows:
The Hart Dynasty: is the breakup official, will WWE have them team up again, will the friction still be there if they do team up, will they have a feud, which one will be the heel, or will WWE just forget all about those two altogether?
Are the rumors about CM Punk's injury true? It seemed like he was poised to be feuding with Daniel Bryan (Danielson), and possibly building a Survivor Series team. Could Punk still mastermind a team even if he's injured? Will they find an on-screen way to come up with a reason he's injured?
United States Champion Daniel Bryan (Danielson) fought Dolph Ziggler on the pay per view eight days ago, again on RAW seven days ago, and on Smackdown three days ago. Will those two be fighting AGAIN?
If they do fight tonight, is it because a "Plan B" had to be created because of CM Punk's injury? Will another challenger step up? Is this going to lead to a unification of the Intercontinental Championship with the United States title?
Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes said they were going to go after the Unified World Tag Team Championships, but then later on Smackdown they appeared to break-up.
I wrote an article which talked about what I thought should happen next, and if I'm right, one of them is going to show up on RAW.
Is David Otunga going to still be in Nexus once tonight's RAW is over? He was on the verge of leaving the group a week ago.
In a segment last week, The Miz issued an invitation to Rey Mysterio to show up on RAW. It seems very likely that those two are going to be captains of Survivor Series teams. How much more are we going to find out about the roster of those squads tonight?
That doesn't even touch the main event scene with Randy Orton, John Cena and Wade Barrett. I'd spend two hours writing up all the questions left to get answered, but we may as well get right down to the show.
So apparently the show is live from Long Island tonight, which immediately makes me wonder how much of "Long Island Ice Z" Zack Ryder we're going to get, and I'm optimistic about the enjoyment-level of this show already!
If Randy Orton doesn't believe there's a man alive who could take the belt from him, is he extra careful about how tonight goes down, given that it's All Saints Day, the day after Halloween?
When he made that comment, did anyone else think about Chris Benoit, the man from whom Randy Orton won his first-ever World Title?
John Cena gets called out to the ring by Randy Orton because he wanted to talk about the possibility for a crooked referee spot happening at Survivor Series...and did John Cena get Wade Barrett's permission to show up?
Cena's still wearing his own signature shirt and hat...so I still question how much control Nexus is exerting...and I'll say that they could be doing a much more effective job with their power over one of the most influential and popular guys in the business.
When John Cena is talking down Randy Orton, reminding him about how Wade Barrett conducts himself, is "classless" the word he should be using?
Savvy. Conniving. Devious. Another word with a "v" in the middle of it. They're all more appropriate than "classless." Ric Flair had TONS of class and he was the dirtiest player in the game and took TONS of shortcuts.
Randy Orton called Wade Barrett a scared little child... which is likely more true than the "classless" comment...but Orton then said that Barrett has to stand behind seven other men... and I guess he can't count. Right now Nexus only has six additional members, one of whom is John Cena. Semantics.
When Michael Cole was announcing the main event tonight, with Orton and Barrett each allowed to select a tag team partner to compete with them in a match, the moment Cole said there would be a special guest referee, did anyone have ANY doubt that the guest ref would be John Cena?
It could've been interesting for Barrett and Orton to both act like they were going to pick Cena as their partner, though I guess Barrett could've ordered him to pick Wade's side.
Coming back from commercial and the Unified World Tag Team Champions are in the ring, and it looks like we're going to get our answer about what's in the future for the former tag champs.
Match - Nexus (Gabriel & Slater) vs The Hart Dynasty (Kidd & Smith)
Is it possible that this match is going to end with MORE questions about the cohesion of the Hart Dynasty? Wouldn't that just be a waste of time? Isn't it time to progress this thing or forget all about it?
How many times do the members of Hart Dynasty have to accidentally run into each other before they meet up backstage and realize that they just have really poor luck and they're not TRYING to hit one another?
Outcome - Justin Gabriel hits the 450 Splash on Tyson Kidd after more confusion between Hart Dynasty.
How many times do we have to see the same basic ending to a match involving the Hart Dynasty before this angle takes steps forward?
Sheamus says he's not going to complain about his loss last week, but that he's going to make a challenge for a rematch tonight; and in the process Sheamus said that he beat himself...a comment that hardly anyone in attendance seems to have laughed at?
Is there any chance that comment was inspired at all by the fact that Pee Wee Herman is the host for tonight?
Did anyone else think that John Morrison was going to be the replacement in the match tonight, given how things went down last week? Why even have John Morrison out there last week if Koslov is going to be in there tonight?
Why put Koslov in there against Sheamus if John Morrison is going to be involved eventually, just to give Sheamus a win?
Match - Sheamus vs Santi... Vladimir Koslov
Koslov actually has a pretty good showing. Did anyone else find it weird that Koslov gets kneed in the head repeatedly by Sheamus, only to follow it up with trapping headbutts? Not the smartest move progression.
Outcome - Sheamus gets the win.
In the aftermath, Sheamus is working over Santino, about to hit his cross powerbomb, and we get a nice kick from John Morrison, who continues the progression of things between he and Sheamus in a spot which was so obvious that I'm actually going to not say anything else about it. Did anyone NOT see that coming?
How is it that R-Truth might actually be prophetic about what's going to happen at Survivor Series with John Cena screwing over Orton?
What in the world caused WWE to decide to have Pee Wee Herman as the host of RAW? Most of the fans who would've seen the Pee Wee Herman show are likely hoping to forget they ever saw it, and I'm not sure if the wrestling demographic matches up with WWE RAW fans.
Does anyone else cringe when Pee Wee Herman says he'd be willing to be Mark Henry's tag team partner?
Seriously, TWISTER? I'm glad I decided not to change the channel, instead just sitting through the segment with a sigh. The appearance of Lita ALMOST made my time worth while. Almost.
Long Island Iced Z gets a match in his hometown... and his odds don't look good.
Match - Ezekiel Jackson vs Zack Ryder
Is there any chance that this match goes more than three minutes? I'll be timing it. Part of me thought it might not go three moves.
Outcome - In less than a minute from bell to bell, Ezekiel Jackson gets the victory.
How exactly is Pee Wee Herman involved in a "hit Broadway show"? I can't imagine going to see that even if someone gave me tickets...and I watched his show a few times back in the day, in addition to having watched (and moderately enjoyed) both of his feature-length films.
The Miz shows up, and out of the three men who are going to be in the ring, I can't imagine which of them is the most annoying.
Did anyone else think it was hillarious that Alex Riley was played up to be a fan of Pee Wee Herman, laughing at some of Herman's jokes, playing it up for the Secret Word?
Does it qualify someone as being stupid just because they don't know what the Money In The Bank briefcase is all about?
Is it possible that if Pee Wee Herman shaved his head, aside from his bangs, he'd look almost exactly like Tyson Kidd from the neck up?
Wow, I'm actually laughing in spite of myself at the sight of Big Show dressed up just like Pee Wee Herman, purportedly Herman's cousin.
Does this mean that Rey Mysterio isn't showing up tonight, even though The Miz issued the invitation last week?
Yet again the GM has an opportunity to put Alex Riley into a match, and yet again he's forced to be a sidekick / valet. We'll never know what he's capable of doing unless they give him a chance to show his skills.
Match - The Miz vs Big Show
Did anyone else notice that Alex Riley yelled "come on, MIKE"? I wonder if anyone in WWE would've rather A-Ri had called him "Miz" instead of using his real name?
Never before have I heard the comment that Lawler made about "pouring syrup" on The Miz because "he's done". Is that a first time for anyone else? I've heard "stick a fork in him", but "syrup"?
Is anyone else really surprised by how well The Miz is doing against The Big Show?
Outcome - The Miz decides he's not going to get the win honestly, so he gets disqualified by hitting Big Show with the briefcase in the gut.
Does this seriously decrease the odds of seeing something between Mysterio and The Miz, now that Big Show and Miz have unfinished business? I suppose that could be a good way to get Alex Riley involved, as The Miz would need someone beside him to stand up to the duo if they both show up next week from Smackdown.
Any chance The Miz will show up on the Blue show on Friday? If so, will he mention that he used to be the host of that show?
Is NXT really having a wedding between Goldust and Aksana? Do people have to RSVP for webcast weddings?
Did the cameraman really just all but ignore Maryse during the entrance of Ted DiBiase?
Oh it looks like one of my prayers were answered. Daniel Bryan isn't facing Dolph Ziggler for the fourth straight show.
Match - Daniel Bryan (Danielson) vs Ted DiBiase
How would Michael Cole know if Bryan hadn't had a date in 17 years? And wouldn't that make him 13 (or thereabouts) when he had his last date? It makes it seem creepy that Cole would care what Daniel Bryan (Danielson) did in middle school.
Am I to assume this is a non-title match? I didn't hear any mention of it, but WWE has a history lately of not putting up a graphic or having the ring announcer mention when RAW has a title match.
Outcome - Daniel Bryan makes Ted DiBiase tap out to the LeBell Lock.
What good is Maryse on the outside of the ring if she doesn't even TRY to get involved to help out Ted DiBiase? And furthermore what good are her hair extensions if they're just going to fall in front and block the cleavage which her low-cut dress so kindly puts on display? What's the french term for "ponytail"?
How dead were the fans during LayCool's entrance and spiel? They didn't even get X-Pac style "get off my television / stop wasting my time" boos. Apathy sucks. Is it because they're basically doing the same thing week after week?
Match - McCool vs Natalya
Apparently if Natty beats Michelle McCool, she'll YET AGAIN get the opportunity to lose to a member of LayCool on pay per view. Haven't we seen this over and over before?
Could WWE finally decide to pull the trigger and give someone else a title reign for a little bit, even if LayCool gets the belts back eventually? Freshen things up a little bit.
Outcome - The tried and true formula continues, and Natalya wins the Survivor Series title shot by beating McCool in this non-title match. Did anyone really think she was going to lose, forcing LayCool to find a different opponent for Survivor Series?
Does anyone really buy the fact that Freddie Prinze Jr is a doctor? Why is he on my television? Since when is Vince McMahon in a coma? Does this rule him out as the Anonymous GM?
