Randy Moss Waived by Minnesota Vikings: 5 Teams Who Could Go After Him
Well, that was quick.
Randy Moss' career in Minnesota has come to an end yet again, as the team released the wide receiver on Monday.
Moss helped the Vikings to just one win in his four games with the Vikings, and that came against the struggling Cowboys.
The 33-year-old has had no problem sharing his feelings with the media this season, and his outspoken ways have hurt his chances to stay on the same team for more than four weeks at a time this season.
Moss can still be a potential weapon when he wants to be, but the problem is sometimes it looks like he isn't giving his all on the field.
Moss only has 313 yards in eight games this season, and he has four games with two catches or fewer this season.
While you can get a potential big-play receiver in Moss, you can also get potential problems on and off the field.
Teams have a lot to consider when deciding whether to pick the receiver up, but here are five teams who might claim Moss.
Indianapolis Colts

Even though Peyton Manning could make virtually any receiver in the league look good, adding Moss wouldn't hurt.
The Colts have lost tight end Dallas Clark for the remainder of the season, so Moss could be a possible replacement for the production that the former Hawkeye provides.
Indianapolis has been up and down this season, but it hasn't been because of Manning, who is still playing at a high level this season for the league's second-best passing attack.
Just like Tom Brady to Randy Moss, Manning to Moss would be a potent combo and one that would make the Colts an even more dangerous offense than they already are.
Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia has had its issues this season, but the Eagles are still one of the most talented teams in the NFC, and the addition of Moss would give them a great shot at winning the division and going deep into the playoffs.
Moss and quarterback Michael Vick would most likely play well together, and they could be a dangerous combo on a team that has some good playmakers on offense already with DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin.
Moss' ability to stretch the field would help out his smaller, speedier counterparts, who would have an even easier job getting open underneath, much like Percy Harvin did in the slot while Moss was with the Vikings.
The Eagles don't need Moss as much as many other teams, but his addition would make their dangerous offense even more potent.
Chicago Bears

Jay Cutler needs to stop throwing careless interceptions, but he could also use some help around him.
The offensive line has been the biggest problem in Chicago this season, as they have given up a league-leading 31 sacks this season, but the wide receiving corps isn't exactly an elite group, and Moss could add some value to the unit.
An trio of offensive coordinator Mike Martz, Cutler and Moss would definitely make for an entertaining show and one that could potentially lead to points, but also one that would also be quite combustible.
Despite the fact that Moss could do more harm than good, the Bears' season is trending downward, and they wouldn't have a whole lot to lose by bringing Moss in and hoping for a shot in the arm.
Chicago is a long shot to pick up Moss, but they could use some more offensive firepower at Soldier Field.
Washington Redskins

Speaking of combustible situations, the Redskins are a team in turmoil after coach Mike Shanahan benched starting quarterback Donovan McNabb late in Sunday's loss to the Lions as the team was attempting to rally for the victory.
Washington was linked to Vincent Jackson in recent months, and there is no doubt they would like to add a wide receiver, but adding Moss might not be the type of personality this team needs right now.
The Redskins have yielded the second most sacks in the league this season, so they might want to think about upgrading the offensive line also, but since it's nearly impossible to do that at this point in the season, they may want to pick up yet another high-priced player in Moss and hope McNabb has enough time to chuck the ball downfield.
McNabb loves to throw the deep ball, so Moss would seem to be a good fit, but he might not be the right fit as this time.
St. Louis Rams
5 of 5
The St. Louis Rams are a young team on the rise, so adding Moss would not be a smart move from a personality standpoint, especially considering they are starting a rookie at quarterback in Sam Bradford.
The Rams could desperately use another weapon on offense though, and Moss would certainly fit that need. Bradford is now without his top two receivers in Donnie Avery and Mark Clayton, and they are playing in the NFL's worst division, a division that they could win.
Moss could go to St. Louis and fly under the radar in much the same fashion that Terrell Owens did while he was in Buffalo. The difference here would be that Moss would have a chance to go to the playoffs.
St. Louis might be the longest of shots to pick up Moss, but from a need standpoint he would be a good addition for a team that could use a boost to make the playoffs.
