Fantasy Football: Top 5 Wide Receivers Heading into Week 8
1. Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons
Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has caught five or more passes in every game this season. White is No. 1 in the league in receptions with 54, and No. 1 in receiving yards with 747. No. 84 is the top-scoring wide receiver in fantasy football and he is showcasing his ability week in and week out. White is coming off a monster game where he caught 11 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns.
White has a bye in Week 8, but owners would be foolish to sit him in Week 9.

2. Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants
Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks has played extremely well in his second year, and has emerged as the primary target in New York. Nicks has 43 receptions for 525 yards to go along with an NFL-leading eight touchdown receptions. Nicks has three multi-touchdown games this season and his success will continue after the Giants Week 8 bye.
3. Austin Collie, Indianapolis Colts
Collie has cooled off since his hot start, but he still remains third in scoring among wide receivers. Collie has not had the huge games that he had two out of the first three weeks, but he is still finding the end zone. Collie is among NFL leaders in touchdown receptions with six, and as long as Peyton Manning is his quarterback, Collie will continue to put up nice numbers.
4. Brandon Lloyd, Denver Broncos
Where did Brandon Lloyd come from? A question all fantasy owners want to know. The owners who were fortunate enough to grab him off the waiver wire are not complaining. Lloyd has 35 receptions on the year and is second in the league with 709 yards. Lloyd's only issue has been finding the end zone, as he only has three touchdown grabs.
Lloyd has resurrected his career in Denver and he remains a solid start every week.
5. Terrell Owens, Cincinnati Bengals
After a disappointing season with the Buffalo Bills in 2009, Terrell Owens has put that behind him and played well in the first half of the 2010 season. Owens has 40 catches on the year for 564 yards, which is fourth in the NFL. After a rather slow start, Owens has picked up his game and scored in his last three outings.
As long as T.O. is getting the ball, he is a must-start every week.
