Cleveland Browns Cut RB James Davis, Green Bay Packers Should Act Now
The Cleveland Browns have announced they have cut ties with 2009 late-round pick and former Clemson running back James Davis.
This comes as a shock to Browns fans since Davis was the 2009 preseason breakout star-in-waiting after leading the team in rushing prior to the start of the 2009 season.
After a freak accident in practice (Davis injured his shoulder in a controlled environment) he was placed on the Injured Reserve for the remainder of his rookie season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After the Browns went out and picked up rookie running back Montario Hardesty in the 2010 draft and traded for monster back Peyton Hillis this off-season, the writing should have been on the wall for Davis.
Then in the final preseason game, a season-ending injury to Hardesty could have opened the door for Davis but he never got his shot.
Now he needs to find a new team.
The Green Bay Packers are hurting at running back and should take a chance on the former Clemson Tiger, who was the reason teammate C.J. Spiller was not a starter until his junior year when Davis left for the NFL.
Any running back who can keep a talent like Spiller on the bench is worth a shot especially since current starting running back Brandon Jackson does not seem to be a fit as a starter right now.
Davis could step in and jump start the running game for the rest of this season since Ryan Grant is out for the year.
Is it worth a shot?
With the lack of a running game the Packers have right now, it better to try than to sit back and let the 5'11", 220 pound back find a home with another team.
