Fantasy Football Week 7: Power Ranking the Top 50 Point Magnets

Tom KinslowOct 21, 2010

It's Week 7 of the fantasy football season and with that in mind I'm bringing you the power rankings of the top 50 players for this week.

If you have these players on your roster, make sure to have them in your lineup come kickoff so you can capitalize on some key matchups and not leave a large number on your bench that will leave you shaking your head all Sunday long.

If you have any questions about players outside this list, feel free to ask and I'll be happy to answer your question.

No. 50: Marques Colston

Marques Colston has had a down year so far, but with New Orleans taking on Cleveland this week and with the offense a week removed from a big day, I expect big things for Colston.

The Matchup

Cleveland. The Browns are 21st against the pass. With Drew Brees under center and plenty of targets to throw to, need I say more? Colston's going to get looks against this shoddy secondary.

How Much They'll Score

I'm looking for 13 out of Colston this week. It's not a ton, but it's way above what he's been giving his fantasy owners so far. This could be his breakout game of the season.

Bust Potential

High. Colston hasn't had a good game all season and Drew Brees spreads the ball to all of his wideouts, I wouldn't be stunned to see him fail to produce but I'd take the risk.

No. 49: San Francisco 49ers D/ST

2 of 50

While this defense was brutal in the first couple weeks of the season, the 49ers have started to turn it around and have put up 31 fantasy points over the last three weeks.

The Matchup

Carolina. It's Matt Moore under center for the Panthers. Do I really need to say anything else? It's the NFL's worst offense. It's a no brainer.

How Much They'll Score

Look for about 13 or 14 out of this defense. Moore is going to turn the ball over and the Panthers just can't run the ball. It's going to get ugly in this game.

Bust Potential

Medium. They've busted before and they've busted again, but with this type of matchup, you really can't turn down that kind of opportunity.

No. 48: Tennessee Titans D/ST

3 of 50
ARLINGTON, TX - OCTOBER 10: Defensive tackle Jason Jones #91 of the Tennessee Titans sacks quarterback Tony Romo #9 of the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium on October 10, 2010 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Tennessee has nine interceptions over the last four weeks and also has a big defensive line that gets after the quarterback. That makes them a good fantasy defense.

The Matchup

Philadelphia. While there are some weapons, the offensive line isn't very good and the Titans' pass rush is going to get to Kevin Kolb sooner rather than later.

How Much They'll Score

Look for about 14 or 15, there'll be some sacks and a turnover or two. If the Titans are available in your league, I'd pick them up right now.

Bust Potential

Medium. The Titans give up a ton of yards to opposing offenses and I keep waiting for this defense to bust and give up about 40 points to someone.

No. 47: Green Bay Packers D/ST

4 of 50

While the Packers' defense is decimated by injuries and struggled last week against Miami, I have faith in Green Bay to rebound this week.

The Matchup

Minnesota. With the way Brett Favre has been playing this season, a couple turnovers are inevitable, and it's just a matter of capitalizing on those opportunities.

How Much They'll Score

I think about 13 is fair for Green Bay this week. Favre turns it over a lot but maybe he dials it up a bit for his former team.

Bust Potential

Medium. Green Bay is banged up across the board and it struggled last week against Miami. I wouldn't blame them for busting under the circumstances.

No. 46: Lance Moore

5 of 50
NEW ORLEANS - OCTOBER 03: Lance Moore #16 of the New Orleans Saints is pushed out of bounds by Chris Gamble #20 and Charles Godfrey #30 of the Carolina Panthers at the Louisiana Superdome on October 3, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana. of the Carolina Pan

Lance Moore has emerged as one of Drew Brees' favorite targets and has four touchdowns over the last four games.

The Matchup

Cleveland. New Orleans has done more against better pass defenses than this. The Browns are still a work in progress and there will be room to work.

How Much They'll Score

I think 13 is fair for Moore. Brees is streaky and he doesn't like to focus on just one guy during the course of a game.

Bust Potential

Medium. The only way that Moore doesn't produce is if spreading it around hurts his stats too much or if Moore gets double teamed down the field.

No. 45: Jeremy Maclin

6 of 50
SAN FRANCISCO - OCTOBER 10: Jeremy Maclin #18 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs after a catch against Shawntae Spencer #36 of the San Francisco 49ers during an NFL game at Candlestick Park on October 10, 2010 in San Francisco, California. (Photo by Jed Ja

Jeremy Maclin stepped up big time after DeSean Jackson left the game with a concussion and you know that Kevin Kolb is going to look his way this weekend in the passing game.

The Matchup

Tennessee. The Titans give up a lot of passing yards to opposing quarterbacks and he's the biggest target out on the field.

How Much They'll Score

I'd say 15 feels right. Maclin will probably find the end zone once and get decent yardage. Look for it to be mostly underneath as opposed to downfield.

Bust Potential

Low. The Titans let Trent Edwards move the ball. I'm sure Maclin will get his stats on Sunday, even if they're not spectacular.

No. 44: Miles Austin

7 of 50
ARLINGTON, TX - SEPTEMBER 19: Wide receiver Miles Austin #19 of the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium on September 19, 2010 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)
ARLINGTON, TX - SEPTEMBER 19: Wide receiver Miles Austin #19 of the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium on September 19, 2010 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

While Miles Austin has a bad game last week, he was one offensive pass interference call away from having a huge day. I'm not concerned about Austin at all.

The Matchup

NY Giants. While the Giants have the second best pass defense in the league, Tony Romo is going to throw the ball a lot and you know he's going to look Austin's way.

How Much They'll Score

Looking at Austin, 14 feels right for him this week. He's going to get a lot of targets and with Roy Williams stepping up, it should lessen the pressure on Austin.

Bust Potential

Medium. If Tony Romo struggles against a tough Giants defense, it could be a long day for Austin. He's busted twice before so he's not super reliable.

No. 43: Mike Williams

8 of 50
CHICAGO - OCTOBER 17: Mike Williams #17 of the Seattle Seahawks runs for a first down while being grabbed by Chris Harris #46 and Charles Tillman #33 of the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on October 17, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel

I never thought that Mike Williams would be on a list of best fantasy players ever, even if it's for one week. However, Williams is coming off of 10 catches and 123 yards last Sunday.

The Matchup

Arizona. The Cardinals are 26th against the pass and even Matt Hasselbeck will find ways to make plays down the field in the passing game.

How Much They'll Score

While Williams probably won't put up stats like he did last week, but he and Hasselbeck clearly have a connection and it will find a way to have success against the Cardinals.

Bust Potential

It's Mike Williams. The bust potential is always high. There's really nothing you can say about a guy who nearly ate his way out of the league.

No. 42: Larry Fitzgerald

9 of 50
GLENDALE, AZ - OCTOBER 10: Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald #11 of the Arizona Cardinals runs with the football after a reception past Jabari Greer #33 of the New Orleans Saints during the NFL game at the University of Phoenix Stadium on October 10, 2010 i
GLENDALE, AZ - OCTOBER 10: Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald #11 of the Arizona Cardinals runs with the football after a reception past Jabari Greer #33 of the New Orleans Saints during the NFL game at the University of Phoenix Stadium on October 10, 2010 i

Larry Fitzgerald has had a down year and it's all the fault of his quarterbacks. Derek Anderson and Max Hall have been brutal under center for the Cardinals this year.

The Matchup

Seattle. The Seahawks are 30th against the pass and even Max Hall should find room down the field to throw against this defense.

How Much They'll Score

I'm thinking 14 feels right for Fitz this week. Normally, I'd expect more, but with the quarterback position, I'm hesitant.

Bust Potential

Fitz only has one double digit point game this week so that's alarming. If Max Hall struggles, Fitz may be worth only a flex play at best. It's sad to see.

No. 41: Roddy White

10 of 50
CLEVELAND - OCTOBER 10: Wide receiver Roddy White #84 of the Atlanta Falcons catches a pass in front of defensive back Eric Wright #21 of the Cleveland Browns at Cleveland Browns Stadium on October 10, 2010 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by Matt Sullivan/Ge

Last week's game against Philadelphia was Roddy White's worst game of the season but with the way he's season's gone, I wouldn't worry about him at all.

The Matchup

Cincinnati. The Bengals have a middle of the road pass defense and I think Matt Ryan will be able to exploit them early and often this Sunday.

How Much They'll Score

I think 14 is fair for White. He's Matt Ryan's favorite target and he's going to get plenty of targets in this game and he has a knack for finding the end zone.

Bust Potential

Low. Ryan loves to get the ball to White and he'll get his numbers one way or another. I wouldn't worry about White in the least.

No. 40: Greg Jennings

11 of 50
CHICAGO - SEPTEMBER 27: Greg Jennings #85 of the Green Bay Packers reacts after he scored a 7-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on September 27, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/

While Greg Jennings has struggled for most of the season, he had a huge game last Sunday. Maybe it's the start of a hot streak for the wideout.

The Matchup

Minnesota. The Vikings have a good pass defense, but Aaron Rodgers can move the ball against most teams and being familiar with the opponent doesn't hurt either.

How Much They'll Score

I'll go with 15 for Jennings. While he's struggled to put up yards this year, he's found the end zone and he'll do so this week in a game that could turn into a shootout like last year's meeting in Lambeau.

Bust Potential

Low. Even if Jennings doesn't get the yards, he'll find the end zone. You can't really complain about that.

No. 39: Chad Ochocinco

12 of 50
CINCINNATI, OH - OCTOBER 10: Chad Ochocinco #85 of the Cincinnati Bengals makes a reception against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Paul Brown Stadium on October 10, 2010 in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo by Jamie Sabau/Getty Images)

Since Week 1, Chad Ochocinco has been invisible on the field. Could the bye week have helped get Chad right? Well I certainly think so.

The Matchup

Atlanta. The Falcons are 25th against the pass and the Bengals are pretty pass heavy so Ocho should get plenty of looks in the passing game. At least you'd hope so.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 15 for Ocho this week. He promised to be the Chad of old and I'm going to take him at his word on this one.

Bust Potential

High. He's been a bust for most of the year, so another week wouldn't shock me in the least bit. He's a big risk.

No. 38: Knowshon Moreno

13 of 50
DENVER - SEPTEMBER 19: Running back Knowshon Moreno #27 of the Denver Broncos is stopped by defensive tackle Brandon Mebane #92 of the Seattle Seahawks at INVESCO Field at Mile High on September 19, 2010 in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos defeated the Seah

Knowshon Moreno has struggled this year with injury and a lack of production but I feel like this could be the week where he puts a big number up on the board.

The Matchup

Oakland. Normally I wouldn't have to say anything other than that, but the Raiders are 30th against the run. It's a perfect matchup.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going to go with 16 for Moreno this week. Oakland is brutal and Kyle Orton is going to open up even more running lanes by making plays through the air.

Bust Potential

High. Moreno has struggled all season and has been a little dinged up. I'd proceed with caution but this looks like a golden opportunity.

No. 37: Dwayne Bowe

14 of 50
KANSAS CITY, MO - SEPTEMBER 26: Dwayne Bowe #82 of the Kansas City Chiefs celebrates after a 45-yard touchdown reception against the San Francisco 49ers at Arrowhead Stadium on September 26, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs won 31-10. (Photo by J

After struggling against the Colts, Dwayne Bowe rebounded and had a big day and caught two touchdowns against Houston.

The Matchup

Jacksonville. The Jaguars are pretty bad against the pass and Bowe is a big target that will be hard to stop. Jacksonville looked brutal against Tennessee on Monday.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 15 for Bowe. The Jags will be keying on him but I think that he'll find success, especially after the catch against Jacksonville.

Bust Potential

High. Bowe has struggled at times this year and he doesn't work in the most effective offense of all time. He's worth a play but he's a cause for concern in your lineup.

No. 36: Randy Moss

15 of 50
MINNEAPOLIS - OCTOBER 17: Wide receiver Randy Moss #84 of the Minnesota Vikings catches a pass during the third quarter against the Dallas Cowboys at Mall of America Field on October 17, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings defeated the Cowboys 24

Randy Moss hasn't exactly been lighting the stat sheet on fire in his short stint with the Vikings but he sure is more productive than his games with the Patriots this year.

The Matchup

Green Bay. The Packers have an average pass defense and they should be used to seeing Randy Moss run by them on go routes.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 16 for Moss. Brett Favre loves throwing to him and he'll get plenty of looks in the Vikings' offense. He's killed them for years, what's one more week?

Bust Potential

Medium. If Favre struggles, Moss will struggle and things will get ugly on offense for the Vikings. If Favre's off this week, you could get a huge bust on your roster.

No. 35: Hines Ward

16 of 50
PITTSBURGH - OCTOBER 17: Hines Ward #86 of the Pittsburgh Steelers celebrates after scoring a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns during the game on October 17, 2010 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jared Wickerham/Getty Images)

With Ben Roethlisberger back under center, Hines Ward had his best game of the season and we should see his production back to where we're used to seeing it.

The Matchup

Miami. The Dolphins have a decent pass defense but Ben Roethlisberger has a history of making plays against tough defenses. Ward is a solid target and will get looks.

How Much They'll Score

I don't think it's unfair to expect 15 points from Ward on Sunday. I think we'll start to see the passing game open up more as time goes on and Ward will be a big part of that.

Bust Potential

Low. Ward is a consistent wideout and will find ways to get open and Roethlisberger will find ways to get him the ball. It's as simple as that.

No. 34: Seattle Seahawks D/ST

17 of 50
CHICAGO - OCTOBER 17: Matt Forte #22 of the Chicago Bears scores a touchdown as he is tackled by Earl Thomas #29 of the Seattle Seahawks at Soldier Field on October 17, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. The Seahawks defeated the Bears 23-20. (Photo by Jonathan D

Outside of one bad week, the Seahawks have put up great fantasy numbers on defense and facing division rival Arizona, they may see more success this weekend.

The Matchup

Arizona. It's Max Hall. Seriously. That should be enough to warrant a start on a bye week and you need a defense.

How Much They'll Score

I'm looking for 17 from Seattle. They'll get after the quarterback and Hall will make mistakes, it's only a matter of time.

Bust Potential

Low. Only for the sheer fact that Seattle's only had one really bad game this season in an otherwise great season.

No. 33: Josh Freeman

18 of 50
TAMPA, FL - OCTOBER 17: Quarterback Josh Freeman #5 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers throws a pass against the New Orleans Saints during the game at Raymond James Stadium on October 17, 2010 in Tampa, Florida. (Photo by J. Meric/Getty Images)

Josh Freeman has quietly had a strong and consistent season under center for Tampa Bay. Who would have seen that coming?

The Matchup

St. Louis. The Rams aren't a good team against the pass and while Freeman doesn't have great targets, he's been getting by with them all season long, so why not now?

How Much They'll Score

This will be the low end of most quarterbacks but 15 or 16 is what you'll get from Freeman. The Bucs can't run the ball so it's not going to open up a lot down the field for Freeman in the passing game.

Bust Potential

Low. Freeman has been pretty consistent this year. You know what you're getting with him week in and week out.

No. 32: Mike Wallace

19 of 50
PITTSBURGH - OCTOBER 17: Mike Wallace #17 of the Pittsburgh Steelers cathces a second quarter touchdown pass in front of Eric Wright #21 of the Cleveland Browns on October 17, 2010 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Get

Mike Wallace has turned into quite the deep threat for Pittsburgh and with the Steelers actually having a quarterback who can make accurate throws on the long ball, it's going to increase Wallace's production.

The Matchup

Miami. The Dolphins gave up a huge pass play to Green Bay last week and you know Pittsburgh is going to try and exploit that this week.

How Much They'll Score

I'm looking for 15 points out of Wallace this week. Roethlisberger will test the Dolphins down the field and that will benefit Wallace over anyone else.

Bust Potential

Medium. Wallace has had a bad few games but he had a big one last week in Roethlisberger's return.

No. 31: Maurice Jones-Drew

20 of 50
JACKSONVILLE, FL - OCTOBER 18: Running back Maurice Jones-Drew #32 of the Jacksonville Jaguars runs the ball against the Tennessee Titans during the game at EverBank Field on October 18, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida. (Photo by J. Meric/Getty Images)

It's been a rough season for Maurice Jones-Drew in Jacksonville but maybe this is the week where MJD finally gets it going.

The Matchup

Kansas City. The Chiefs allow a ton of fantasy points to opposing running backs and Jones-Drew gets plenty of touches as it is.

How Much They'll Score

I'm expecting 16 points out of MJD this weekend. The Jags give him a ton of touches and it's about time that it paid off, especially with the questionable quarterback situation in Jacksonville.

Bust Potential

High. Jones-Drew has had only one really great game this year and I wouldn't be expecting that type of production out of him every week. Hope for the best this week.

No. 30: Brandon Lloyd

21 of 50
BALTIMORE, MD - OCTOBER 10: Brandon Lloyd #84 of the Denver Broncos scores a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on October 10, 2010 in Baltimore, Maryland. Players wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Rav
The Rav

Denver has turned into a pass happy team and Brandon Lloyd has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of that and has turned into a favorite target for Kyle Orton.

The Matchup

Oakland. While he'll be matched up against a strong cornerback in Nnamdi Asomugha, he's going to get plenty of looks just based off of how the Broncos' offense works.

How Much They'll Score

With how much the Broncos throw the ball, I don't think it's too much to ask for 16 points out of Lloyd this week. He had a down week last week and didn't find the end zone but I think that changes this week.

Bust Potential

Medium. He's going against a great corner who can shut any wideout in the game down. It's something to worry about but I'd put him in my lineup anyway.

No. 29: Jay Cutler

22 of 50
CHICAGO - OCTOBER 17: Jay Cutler #6 of the Chicago Bears looks for a receiver against the Seattle Seahawks at Soldier Field on October 17, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. The Seahawks defeated the Bears 23-20. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

Jay Cutler had a strong start to the season but has had his struggles in recent weeks with being sacked and injured. He's not getting much help either.

The Matchup

Washington. The Redskins have allowed the second most passing yards in the league but also get after the quarterback and with the way Chicago's line is, it's something to worry about.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 18 but that could be a conservative estimate if Cutler can get any amount of time to throw. If he does, watch out.

Bust Potential

I mean, it's Jay Cutler. He's been sacked 16 times the last two games and he's a turnover machine. He's always someone to worry about.

No. 28: Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST

23 of 50

Pittsburgh has one of the toughest defenses in football and teams are finding that out on a weekly basis. They're a must start every week, regardless of the matchup.

The Matchup

Miami. Chad Henne's been getting more responsibility in Miami and it's led to a couple of turnovers, those lead to touchdowns when you play PIttsburgh.

How Much They'll Score

I think 19 is a good estimate. The Steelers are going to get after Henne and force him into mistakes and capitalize off of them. It's unavoidable.

Bust Potential

Low. It just won't happen. Not against this team.

No. 27: Brandon Marshall

24 of 50
MIAMI - OCTOBER 4: Brandon Marshall #19 of the Miami Dolphins runs with a catch against the New England Patriots at Sun Life Field on October 4, 2010 in Miami, Florida. (Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty Images)
MIAMI - OCTOBER 4: Brandon Marshall #19 of the Miami Dolphins runs with a catch against the New England Patriots at Sun Life Field on October 4, 2010 in Miami, Florida. (Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty Images)

Brandon Marshall was targeted a ton last week for Miami and seeing as he's the Dolphins' best offensive weapon, I don't see that changing this week.

The Matchup

Pittsburgh. It's not an easy matchup by any means, but there aren't many players in football who can challenge Marshall's physical skills.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 16 just because the Dolphins are going to throw Marshall's way so much. It's not hard to produce when you're getting all of the looks.

Bust Potential

Medium. Only because Chad Henne is wildly inconsistent. I'm not sure if he's the guy in Miami but we're going to find out with games like this.

No. 26: Ryan Matthews

25 of 50
ST. LOUIS - OCTOBER 17: Ronald Bartell #24 of the St. Louis Rams tackles Ryan Mathews #24 of the San Diego Chargers at the Edward Jones Dome on October 17, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Rams beat the Chargers 20-17. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Im

Ryan Mathews has struggled in recent weeks, but with the Chargers struggling, maybe they'll get their running back some more touches.

The Matchup

New England. It's a young , young defense for the Patriots and that's just the type of defense a running back needs to find some running lanes.

How Much They'll Score

With so many injuries to the wideouts of the Chargers, I'm going with 16 points. I just feel like San Diego will make an honest effort to run the ball more this week. That is, if they can keep it close.

Bust Potential

High. He's struggled as a fantasy player this season and there's a good chance he could do it again against a Bill Belichick defense.

No. 25: Michael Turner

Michael Turner has put up solid numbers but hasn't found the end zone very often this year. He's well overdue for a big game this weekend.

The Matchup

Cincinnati. The Bengals aren't a great defense and I think Turner's going to find plenty of room to run this week against Cincy.

How Much They'll Score

I think 17 isn't too much to ask from Turner this week. He gets the yards, if the finds the end zone he's going to have a huge day for your team.

Bust Potential

Medium. Turner's had a few bad showings so be wary, but I think he'll turn it around this week.

No. 24: Peyton Hillis

After stepping in due to injuires, Peyton Hills has become the guy in the backfield for Cleveland. He's put up numbers no one ever expected him to do.

The Matchup

New Orleans. The Saints are 15th against the run and Cleveland will run seeing as the Browns have no quarterback. Hillis should see a lot of touches.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 17 points for Hillis this week. He's a threat out of the backfield as well so he'll make points if the Browns are down.

Bust Potential

Low. Other than being a little dinged up, Hillis is fine and his matchup is even better.

No. 23: Chris Johnson

JACKSONVILLE, FL - OCTOBER 18: Running back Chris Johnson #28 of the Tennessee Titans warms up prior to the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field on October 18, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida. (Photo by J. Meric/Getty Images)

Chris Johnson has struggled at times this year and if you spent a top draft pick on him, you can't be happy about that fact. He's gotten production but a couple bad games have likely hurt you.

The Matchup

The Eagles are 22nd against the run and even though the Titans have struggled to run the ball at times, I think they'll find ways to get him into space.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 18 for CJ this week. The Titans will run the ball early and often, especially with Vince Young dinged up.

Bust Potential

Low. It's Chris Johnson. C'mon. You need a lot to slow him down in the backfield.

No. 22 Matt Forte

29 of 50
CHICAGO - OCTOBER 17: Matt Forte #22 of the Chicago Bears celebrates after scoring a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks at Soldier Field on October 17, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. The Seahawks defeated the Bears 23-20. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty I

After struggling for a couple of weeks, Matt Forte is back at it again and has put up a great and a decent fantasy week.

The Matchup

Washington. The Redskins have allowed the third most receptions to fantasy running backs this season and with Chicago's penchant for throwing the ball, this makes Forte valuable.

How Much They'll Score

I'll go with 17 for Forte and that's only because I'm worried Jay Cutler is going to get killed under center this week.

Bust Potential

Medium. Forte gets neglected all of the time in Chicago and if it's one of those weeks, there's no hope for production.

No. 21: Darren McFadden

GLENDALE, AZ - SEPTEMBER 26: Runningback Darren McFadden #20 of the Oakland Raiders rushes the football during the NFL game against the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium on September 26, 2010 in Glendale, Arizona. The Cardinals defe

Darren McFadden has been struggling with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the lineup the past two weeks. This could be the week he returns.

The Matchup

Denver. The Broncos have slowed down Chris Johnson so it's a tough matchup for McFadden but it's not like Oakland has better options.

How Much They'll Score

If McFadden goes, he's going to get a majority of the touches so I think we could see him get 17 this week just based on the sheer number of touches.

Bust Potential

High. McFadden's hurt and if he plays there's a chance he could re-injure himself and go right back out of the game.

No. 20: Jamaal Charles

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - OCTOBER 10: Jamaal Charles #25 of the Kansas City Chiefs runs with the football against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on October 10, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana. (Photo by Scott Boehm/Getty Images)

There's been a war going on in Kansas City to try and determine who the top running back is and I guess it's Jamaal Charles but you never know with the Chiefs.

The Matchup

Jacksonville. The Jags are just bad. Don't let their wins fool you, they're a bad team and bad teams get feasted on by good running backs.

How Much They'll Score

I think we can get 18 out of Charles this week. Jacksonville can't defend the pass and that should open up the run if Matt Cassel can make plays.

Bust Potential

Medium. I only say that because Thomas Jones is there and if he catches fire it could hurt Charles' touches. Be wary of that.

No. 19: Matt Hasselbeck

32 of 50
CHICAGO - OCTOBER 17: Matt Hasselbeck #8 of the Seattle Seahawks looks for a receiver against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on October 17, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. The Seahawks defeated the Bears 23-20. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

Matt Hasselbeck hasn't had a terrible season, but he hasn't had a great one either. It really hasn't been the same since that Super Bowl season.

The Matchup

Arizona. It's the Cardinals and they're a team that to be honest, has fallen apart in less than a year. They don't even look like the same team anymore.

How Much They'll Score

I'd look for Hasselbeck to put up 18 points. It's not a ton and other players would put up more against the Cardinals but it is what it is.

Bust Potential

Medium. Hasselbeck doesn't have many targets and if the run game doesn't get going, it could be a long day.

No. 18: Rashard Mendenhall

33 of 50

PITTSBURGH - OCTOBER 17: Rashard Mendenhall #34 of the Pittsburgh Steelers runs through the Cleveland Browns defense during the game on October 17, 2010 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jared Wickerham/Getty Images)

With Ben Roethlisberger back in the fold, it's only going to open things up for Rashard Mendenhall. Mendenhall had big games before he was the quarterback and watch out for him now.

The Matchup

Miami. The Dolphins let BenJarvis Green-Ellis get fantasy points against them. If he can, then Mendenhall is in for a big day.

How Much They'll Score

I don't think it's unfair to expect 18 from Mendenhall this week. It's a decent matchup and he's got plenty of weapons around him to open up the running lanes.

Bust Potential

Low. The Steelers would have to fall behind early and go right to the pass from there to hurt his production on offense.

No. 17: Eli Manning

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - OCTOBER 17: Eli Manning #10 of the New York Giants against the Detroit Lions at New Meadowlands Stadium on October 17, 2010 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Nick Laham/Getty Images)

Eli Manning is having another strong year and he's heading into a big game against Dallas this week on national TV.

The Matchup

Dallas. The Cowboys can be beaten deep in the passing game as we've seen and I think Manning has plenty of weapons to choose from to get points.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 19 for Manning this week. With Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham in the passing game, he's going to make plays down the field and throw a couple of touchdowns.

Bust Potential

Low. Manning has too many weapons and the Cowboys are too dysfunctional right now to stop him.

No. 16: Adrian Peterson

35 of 50

MINNEAPOLIS - OCTOBER 17: Running back Adrian Peterson #29 of the Minnesota Vikings runs into the end zone for a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys during the third quarter at Mall of America Field on October 17, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vi

With Brett Favre struggling it has hurt Adrian Peterson's production in past weeks but I'm not sure how long that trend can continue.

The Matchup

Green Bay. The Packers' defense has struggled with injuries and that should help Peterson find plenty of lanes to run through.

How Much They'll Score

I'm looking from 19 from Peterson. I think Favre will make just enough plays through the air to set up AP on the ground.

Bust Potential

Low. It's Peterson. It's hard for him to have a bust of a week.

No. 15: Matt Ryan

36 of 50
PHILADELPHIA - OCTOBER 17: Matt Ryan #2 of the Atlanta Falcons passes against the Philadelphia Eagles during their game at Lincoln Financial Field on October 17, 2010 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images)

Matt Ryan has had a great bounce-back effort from a disappointing sophomore campaign. He's built up a great connection with Roddy White as well.

Matchup

Cincinnati. The Bengals struggle on defense, especially late in games and I think Ryan is going to take advantage of the matchups.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going big and looking for 20 from Mattie Ice. It just feels like one of those weeks for him.

Bust Potential

Low. I think the Bengals aren't that good of a team and I think we'll continue to see that this week.

No. 14: Kevin Kolb

37 of 50
PHILADELPHIA - OCTOBER 17: Kevin Kolb #4 of the Philadelphia Eagles passes a touchdown to Jeremy Maclin #18 in the third quarteragainst the Atlanta Falcons during their game at Lincoln Financial Field on October 17, 2010 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (
PHILADELPHIA - OCTOBER 17: Kevin Kolb #4 of the Philadelphia Eagles passes a touchdown to Jeremy Maclin #18 in the third quarteragainst the Atlanta Falcons during their game at Lincoln Financial Field on October 17, 2010 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (

Kevin Kolb has had a huge turnaround since his first start against Green Bay and has led the Eagles to two wins in his last two starts.

Matchup

Tennessee. The Titans give up a ton of yardage to opposing quarterbacks and I think that will be no different this week. Kolb will take the checkdowns and go up and down the field.

How Much They'll Score

It may shock you, but I'm going 21 for Kolb this week. There's a lot of yardage to be had out there and it won't take much to get behind the Titans' defense.

Bust Potential

Medium. The Titans have a tough pass rush and force a lot of turnovers. That's not exactly good for an inexperienced quarterback.

No. 13: Frank Gore

38 of 50

Frank Gore has been the only consistent offensive weapon for San Francisco this year and maybe sometime soon he'll get some help.

Matchup

Carolina. The Panthers stink. Plain and simple. Gore is going to tear this team apart on Sunday.

How Much They'll Score

I'll go way out there and say Gore hits 23 this weekend. It just feels like a great time for him to explode and just throw a big number up on the board.

Bust Potential

Low. So low that it's almost non-existent.

No. 12: Ben Roethlisberger

39 of 50
PITTSBURGH - OCTOBER 17: Ben Roethlisberger #7 of the Pittsburgh Steelers looks on while playing the Cleveland Browns on October 17, 2010 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh won the game 28-10. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

Ben Roethlisberger had a strong return from suspension. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It was just enough to get by.

Matchup

Miami. I'm not a huge fan of the Dolphins. They do have a good pass rush but Roethlisberger is elusive enough to deal with that.

How Much They'll Score

I think 20 is fair for Roethlisberger this week. I think he's going to hit a few passes deep down the field and cause all sorts of problems for Miami.

Bust Potential

Low. He is still coming off of not playing for four weeks so there is the chance he could come out flat and rusty.

No. 11: Tony Romo

40 of 50
MINNEAPOLIS - OCTOBER 17: Quarterback Tony Romo #9 of the Dallas Cowboys drops back to pass in the first quarter against the Minnesota Vikings at Mall of America Field on October 17, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Photo by Jeff Gross/Getty Images)

Tony Romo has struggled at times this year and has thrown five picks in his last two games. Not a good sign.

Matchup

NY Giants. They get after the quarterback and cause all sorts of problems. However, Romo is familiar with what they do on defense.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 21 for Romo this week. While he's thrown some picks the last two weeks, he's also thrown a bunch of touchdowns as well. I'm liking the hot hand.

Bust Potential

Low. Romo is going to throw a ton this week. He may make mistakes, but he's also going to get yardage and touchdowns doing it.

No. 10: Steven Jackson

Steven Jackson finally has some help in St. Louis in the form of Sam Bradford and finally maybe the Rams will stop running him into the ground.

Matchup

Tampa Bay. The Bucs give up a ton of points to opposing fantasy running backs and when you're going against an All-Pro, it's a recipe for success if you're an owner of Jackson's.

How Much They'll Score

I think 22 is fair for Jackson. Tampa gives up 20 spots to running backs like it's nothing. Jackson should hit this easily.

Bust Potential

Low. There's almost no chance. Unless Jackson gets hurt, he's going to produce.

No. 9: LeSean McCoy

42 of 50
SAN FRANCISCO - OCTOBER 10: LeSean McCoy #25 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs against the San Francisco 49ers during an NFL game at Candlestick Park on October 10, 2010 in San Francisco, California. (Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images)

LeSean McCoy didn't have a great game against Atlanta last week, but when you can throw the ball like that, who needs the run game?

Matchup

Tennessee. The Titans give up a lot of passes to the running backs and that's a staple of the Eagles' offense. If your league counts receptions, you may be in luck this week.

How Much They'll Score

I think McCoy may be the biggest weapon for Philly this week and I'm going with 21 points. I think he'll get a ton of catches and make decent gains in the run game.

Bust Potential

Medium. The Titans do stop the run well so he's going to have to get most of his production of out of the backfield on Sunday.

No. 8: Matt Cassel

43 of 50

That's right, Matt Cassel in the top 10. It's not a joke. You'll see, I promise.

Matchup

Jacksonville. When Vince Young and Kerry Collins have success throwing against you, you know you have a bad secondary. Sorry Jags fans.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 22 for Cassel this week. He had a big game last week and I think he'll have another this week. Play the hot hand.

Bust Potential

Medium. Cassel has struggled at times this year and you never know what you're going to get. He was great last week and he could be awful this week.

No. 7: Joe Flacco

44 of 50
FOXBORO, MA - OCTOBER 17: Joe Flacco #5 of the Baltimore Ravens takes a breather against the New England Patriots during a game at at Gillette Stadium on October 17, 2010 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)

Joe Flacco is finally starting to turn things around after a slow start to the season and you can see him getting better each week.

Matchup

Buffalo. Isn't that really all you need to say about this to see why he's ranked so high this week?

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 22 for Flacco this week. Buffalo doesn't force turnovers and he has plenty of people to throw to. It's a great combination for his owners.

Bust Potential

Low. It's the Bills. They may go winless this year. It's sad but true.

No. 6: Aaron Rodgers

45 of 50
GREEN BAY, WI - OCTOBER 17: Aaron Rogers #12 of the Green Bay Packers passes against the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field on October 17, 2010 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Scott Boehm/Getty Images)

Aaron Rodgers bounced back nicely from the concussion he suffered against Washington to have a good game against Miami. We'll see if he can continue the good play against his former mentor, Brett Favre.

Matchup

Minnesota. It's a division game so they've seen plenty of Rodgers over the years but I think he's got the weapons to make things happen down the field.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 23 for Rodgers. There have been plenty of rumors that have said he's not too fond of Brett Farve and I'm sure he'd love nothing more than to beat him on national TV.

Bust Potential

Low. Rodgers has so many weapons that it's hard for him not to produce once he hits the field. If he gets hit hard again he may have to leave the game so only be wary of that.

No. 5: Philip Rivers

46 of 50
ST. LOUIS - OCTOBER 17: Philip Rivers #17 of the San Diego Chargers passes against the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome on October 17, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Rams beat the Chargers 20-17. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images)

Philip Rivers had his worst game of the season last week and he's got plenty of his targets suffering from injuries. Not a good recipe.

Matchup

New England. It's a young secondary and Rivers is going to test them early and often and I believe have a lot of success doing so.

How Much They'll Score

I'm looking for Rivers to have 23 this week. I know his target are banged up but I think Rivers can make it work for him one way or another.

Bust Potential

Medium. Having those targets out or less than 100 percent is going to hurt him in the passing game so be wary but there's no reason not to start him.

No. 4: Tom Brady

47 of 50
FOXBORO, MA - OCTOBER 17: Tom Brady #12 of the New England Patriots throws during a game against the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium on October 17, 2010 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)

Tom Brady had a strong game even without Randy Moss on the team anymore as he hit Deion Branch over and over again for the Patriots last week.

Matchup

San Diego. The Chargers have struggled this year and I think Brady is going to cut up San Diego with underneath routes all game long.

How Much They'll Score

I like 24 for Brady in this game. I think Branch and Wes Welker are both going to have huge games. At least my fantasy team hopes so.

Bust Potential

Low. Brady's struggled a bit recently but he's Tom Brady, he'll get his points one way or another.

No. 3: Kyle Orton

48 of 50
DENVER - OCTOBER 17: Quarterback Kyle Orton #8 of the Denver Broncos signals for a first down against the New York Jets at INVESCO Field at Mile High on October 17, 2010 in Denver, Colorado. (Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images)

Who would have thought that Kyle Orton would be one of the top passers in the NFL at this point of the season. It's stunning to me.

Matchup

Oakland. I know the Raiders are a division rival and all but I'm scared if I'm the Raiders and their fans looking at this matchup.

How Much They'll Score

I'm looking for 25 from Orton this week. He didn't crack 300 yards last week but I think he'll get it easily this week.

Bust Potential

Low. Orton throws so many times that it's hard for him not to get points through the air for your team.

No. 2: Ray Rice

49 of 50
FOXBORO, MA - OCTOBER 17: Ray Rice #27 of the Baltimore Ravens gains yards against the New England Patriots in the first half at Gillette Stadium on October 17, 2010 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)

Ray Rice has rebounded after a slow start to the season and a minor injury but now he's back on track and looks like the guy in all situations for the Ravens.

Matchup

Buffalo. The Bills are awful on defense, especially against the run. Rice is going to find huge holes to run through and is going to tear Buffalo apart.

How Much They'll Score

I'm going with 25 for Rice this week. He's going to get in the end zone a couple of times and it could actually be higher than that by the time the game's over.

Bust Potential

Low. Rice is dinged up so the only way he doesn't get this done is if he re-injures himself.

No. 1: Drew Brees

Drew Brees rebounded after a couple of shaky starts and put some big numbers up against Tampa Bay last week. Hopefully that's the start of things to come for Brees and the Saints.

Matchup

Cleveland. If Ben Roethlisberger step on to the field for the first time in four weeks and tear the Browns' secondary apart, what do you think Drew Brees is going to do?

How Much They'll Score

I'm going really big with this one and saying Brees hits 27 this week. He's going to hit a couple of deep balls down the field and with Chris Ivory making gains in the running game, he's going to get more room to throw.

Bust Potential

With how bad Cleveland is, I don't see how Brees can't have a monster game this week. He's going to crush a lot of opposing teams this week.
