Kyle HollandAug 18, 2008

I'm going to cover all the basis here for how next season should end. I'm going to predict playoff teams, division winners, conference winners, Stanley Cup winner, point leaders, wins, etc.

first lets start with player stats. For the player stats i'll do top 5

4) Anaheim Ducks

5) Chicago Blackhawks

6) San Jose Sharks

7) Edmonton Oilers

8) Phoenix Coyotes

9) Minnasota Wild

10) Columbus Blue Jackets

East Champions: Pittsburgh Penguins

West Champions: Detroit Red Wings

Stanley Cup Winner: Detroit Red Wings

Yes, I'm predicting a back to back match up between the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins. With the additions of Hossa and everybody coming back from the Red Wings with the exception of retired players Hasek and Drake, the Red Wings should take the Cup back to Hockeytown again. The penguins actually returning I'm not too positive about. They'll have their defense and goaltending returning that was essential but the offense has taken a hit through the market. If Sundin accepts the offer from Montreal, than Montreal could make the finals pitting an original six match-up.
