A Premier League weekend full of shocks
I can't imagine there were many people who correctly predicted last weekend's Premier League results.
Looking down the fixture list there appeared to be a number of games where one side was highly fancied in the Premier League odds.
Arsenal against West Brom was one such match up. It would have taken a brave punter to have correctly backed a Baggies win before kickoff, given they had not won an away game in the top flight in 21 attempts.

Therefore it was not just the Gunners fans who were stunned when Roberto Di Matteo's men went three goals up before clinging on to a famous 3-2 win.
Arsenal were not alone in finding life difficult against so called lesser opposition. At Anfield Liverpool only just claimed a point against a resilient Sunderland side to cap a difficult week for Roy Hodgson's men, following that shock defeat by Northampton in the Carling Cup.
Chelsea have been on fire so far this year, winning five games from five infree-flowing goal scoring style. But after being humbled by Newcastle in the Carling Cup they finally fell to defeat in the league at Eastlands against a City side who also lost in midweek.
Manchester United failed to capitalise on Chelsea's slip up as they could only draw with battling Bolton, with forgotten man Michael Owen grabbing a late equaliser.
Spurs falling to West Ham, Everton finding themselves propping up the table and Newcastle beating Chelsea and Everton away before losing to Stoke at home only goes to highlight the unpredictable nature of this season so far. So those who look at soccer tips shouldn't take too much from these results.
It may be early days and teams are yet to really settle, but such competition is good to see in a division much maligned recently for its dominance by the big four. The fact the big four all failed to win this weekend hopefully points to a more competitive league and ultimately more excitement.
Apart from if you want to correctly guess the results that is.
