Tennessee Titans-New York Giants: NFL Week 3 Preview and Prediction
This week, the Tennessee Titans travel to the New Meadowlands stadium to take on the New York Giants. The Giants are one week removed from their blowout loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the Manning Bowl II. The Titans have had a week to think about the game, in which they should have all but destroyed the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Last week, Chris Johnson and Vince Young faced adversity for the first time since being on the field together. The Steelers stopped CJ on every run he attempted and even talked the ref into calling a more than suspect holding call on the one run CJ broke. Sorry, but I didn't see much holding, and it was already out of the picture.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Vince Young had three turnovers and, as everyone knows by now, was benched. CJ was pretty much on the field just to keep from getting blood clots because he didn't get any work after Kerry Collins came in. The Steelers had what seemed like a million offensive drives and couldn't do anything against a Titans defense that has allowed but one touchdown this year.
The Giants didn't have a great night, as Eli Manning was harassed, and their defense was getting crushed by Peyton Manning's offense. The Giants had no offensive production against a weak Colts defense that had given up many yards the week before on the ground. Brandon Jacobs actually got so mad that he somehow launched his helmet into the stands and was fined for the incident.
Both teams have had a bit of airtime through the week, due to last week's games, but this week they both hope to rebound by getting their second win of the season.
The Giants are playing at home for the second time, as they won their stadium opener against the shameful Carolina Panthers, but not before Manning threw three INT's. Their offense hasn't been the greatest thus far, and will be trying to get on track while their defense tries to overcome the beating they took from Joseph Addai last week.
The Titans offense had a bright light in Week 1 that was seemingly busted in Week 2 against a rock solid defense. Look for CJ and VY to go big this week. Vince Young is out to prove all the haters that rose up last week wrong while CJ probably wants to have a great day after losing his streak of 100-yard games.
The Titans defense has looked outstanding the first two weeks, allowing less yards per game than any other team in the league, even the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Titans may be able to make a big statement on defense this week, playing the first team with a somewhat credible offense.
Expect the Giants to come out ready to play for their home fans, but also expect the Titans to come out of the tunnel ready to impress everyone (as if only losing by eight while having turnovers isn't impressive enough). And expect a great game this weekend, as the Titans jump on Chris Johnson's back for a 21-10 win.
