Nice Grab: The Top Five Football Catches on YouTube
A great catch is something of beauty and something that should be cherished for a long time by everyone who has witnessed it occur.
The following list that I have composed is no different, is there are some jaw-dropping, ridiculous catches that deserve all the hype that has surrounded them over the years.
Take a look and see for yourself.
5. Edwin Baptiste, Morgan State WR: 2008
1 of 5Baptiste made this incredible play while falling backward in a game against Winston-Salem State in 2008.
Lucky for Baptiste, he didn't suffer an injury from coming down hard on his back, but he did end up with one of the best catches in college football history.
4. Antonio Freeman, Green Bay Packers WR: 2000
2 of 5Freeman's catch had ABC announcer Al Michaels say "He did what??" after his sensational grab on Monday Night Football in 2000 against the Vikings.
The catch not only was incredible, but it also helped the Packers win the game in overtime as well.
3. David Tyree, New York Giants WR: 2008
3 of 5Tyree's improbable catch in Super Bowl XLII will go down as one of the best catches for a player who controls the ball on their head in a play.
His grab is arguable the best one in Super Bowl history as well.
2. Jared Prothro, Alabama WR: 2005
4 of 5Prothro's amazing grab off a defender's back will always be remembered by many Crimson Tide fans as one of the best catches ever.
It's too bad for the defender in the play who was doing his job correctly, but has been and will be in highlight reels for a long time because of Prothro's sensational play.
1. Chris Moore, Western Washington WR: 1992
5 of 5Former Western Washington wide receiver Chris Moore's sideline catch from 1992 has been labeled by many as the best catch ever.
He also won an ESPY for his amazing between the legs reception.
