NFL Week 2 Recap: The Top 10 Plays From a Wild Week of Football

Scott AltmanSep 22, 2010

With 16 games simultaneously flowing through your television, computer, and radio, it has become difficult to miss even the most unspectacular of plays.

But despite endless highlight shows and game analysis, some of a single week's greatest plays manage to slip through the cracks, and other just don't get sufficient praise.

Have no fear, however, because the Bleacher Report is here to salvage the wreckage and bring you the top ten plays from Week 2.

#10: Braylon Edwards

1 of 10

Braylon Edwards was pretty excited after he caught a touchdown over Patriots cornerback Darius Butler. He was so excited that on Monday night, he went to Jericho Cotchery's charity event, drank enough to get his blood alcohol content to .16 (twice the legal limit), and then decided to drive home.

Edwards was pulled over, charged with a DWI, and is now facing a possible 4-game suspension from the NFL, as well as disgust from within his own locker room.

Nice catch though, right?

#9: Patrick Willis Does His Best Sheldon Brown Impression

2 of 10

Is it just me, or does Reggie Bush have a knack for getting laid out on swing passes?

#8: Cirque De Vontae Davis

3 of 10

Vontae Davis joined the "I have intercepted a Brett Favre pass" club this weekend, and he did it in style.

#7: Jahvid Makes the Best Run Of The Week

4 of 10

Kind of reminds you of another undersized Lions running back, doesn't it?

#6: Rolando McClain Goes WWE on Danny Amendola

5 of 10

Are we sure Rolando McClain is in the right sport?

Rather than make your standard NFL wrap-up tackle, McClain does his best Stone Cold Steve Austin and literally body slams Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola to the turf.

I think McClain deserves a clever wrestling nickname after this. Suggestions?

#5: ...And The Steelers Go WWE on Vince Young

6 of 10

This just about sums up Vince Young's terrible, horrible, no good, and very bad day against the Steelers on Sunday.

#4: Randy Moss Escapes From Revis Island

7 of 10

So, apparently there was like all of this fuss over some guy named Revis this summer?

Yeah, and apparently Rex Ryan almost snacked himself into oblivion because he wasn't at Jets training camp.

But he showed up to Gillette Stadium on Sunday, and this is what happened.

And now he's hurt. And Rex Ryan is still overweight.

Go figure.

#3: The Steelers' Version Of The Music City Miracle

8 of 10

Everybody remembers the Titans' 1999 Music City Miracle.

Everybody except for Bills fans who work so hard to erase it from their memories, and are now angry that I brought it up.

Well, the Steelers cooked up their own rendition on Sunday, and the product was an Antonio Brown touchdown.

#2: Troy Polamalu Does His Best Superman Impersonation

9 of 10

If Troy Polamalu let his hair grow out long enough, it could eventually serve as a cape, right?

#1: If Calvin Johnson Is Megatron, Then Andre Johnson Must Be Optimus Prime

10 of 10

Dear Redskins,

How, on 4th & 10 with the game on the line, is Andre Johnson not double, triple, or octuple covered?
