Michael Vick: Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid Names Vick Eagles Starting QB
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid made it official today, QB Michael Vick has been named the starting QB for the Eagles.
Vick has proved triumphant in becoming a starting QB in the league again.
This after he took over for QB Kevin Kolb in the first game of the season after Kolb left the game with a concussion. Vick stepped right in and almost brought the Birds back from a 17-point deficit.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Everyone not associated with the Eagles, even some that were, stated that Vick played so well against the Packers because they didn’t gameplan for him.
Well this past Sunday Michael Vick put all that to rest as he lead the Eagles to their first win of the 2010 season over the Detroit Lions 35-32.
Vick completed 21 of 34 passes for 284 passing yards, ran for a nontraditional 37 yards, and looked extremely poised in the pocket as he checked down every option before deciding to use his feet.
During a press conference Andy Reid was asked if now with Vick leading the Philadelphia Eagles, did he think the Eagles had a better chance of going to the 2010 Super Bowl? He immediately responded with a stern face “absolutely."
Reid does not want anyone looking at Kolb like he failed, rather look at the situation as a player taking advantage of an opportunity he (Vick) was provided. From being a one-time NFL superstar, to prison, back into the NFL as a third string QB, only to be named the main man once again.
It’s been a crazy road for Vick, one that demanded him to reflect on himself, but in the end it is truly what is best for the team at this point. Kevin will still have his chances to play but he’ll have to follow a similar path of Vick’s to get back.
For now, it’s good to see Vick making headlines for the right reasons, as he’s worked his tail off to get back to this status—the time is now his to shine.
He gets another good challenge this coming Sunday as he walks out as the official starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles.
I’m just upset I spent the $80 on a No. 4 jersey!
Congrats Michael, now take this young team of YOURS to new heights in 2010!
