NFL Week 3 Office Pool Winners: If You Want That 14-2 Week, Use These Picks

Thomas MorelandSep 21, 2010

Week 3 in the NFL will be a big week for those that use these games.

Last week I was once again a victim of early season upsets, but by Week 3, this all evens out as teams settle in. 9-7 and 9-7 as we move on to Week 3.

The Dolphins, at a surprising 2-0, play the Jets at 1-1 for the division lead. Miami is at home and favored by a point.

Expect an emotional letdown and regression from Mark Sanchez as the Dolphins win this game more easily than you would imagine.

Pittsburgh is in Tampa Bay, where both teams are at 2-0. One is more surprising than the other, but seriously folks, Pittsburgh at a one-point favorite is a lock to win this game in most people's minds, including mine.

Cleveland travels to Baltimore, where they will be overmatched a bit and lose by seven to 10 points at least.

Tennessee is in New York to take on the Giants. Expect the Giants to play hard at home. This is perhaps the most difficult choice of the week, but every team in that division plays well at home. Giants all the way in this one.

The 49ers will win their first game of the season on the road in Kansas City.

Dallas is reeling and has Houston, who is 2-0 and rocking the NFL and the city of Houston like the Earl Campbell days of old. Houston has a very important coming-out party and wins a close one at home. Poor Cowboys might be 0-3 at the end of this one.

Your survivor/eliminator league pick this week is New England over Buffalo. I am 2-0 in eliminator picks so far in this young season. This game is a lock. 13.5-point favorites win these games 92 percent of the time.

Minnesota is at home against Detroit, and Brett Favre has his back to the wall early this season. Expect Minnesota to break free of mediocrity and win this week at home.

Cincinnati has the offense to overwhelm Carolina and get to 2-1. This is your division winner last season and a playoff-capable team.

New Orleans remains the Super Bowl champion, 2-0, and at home. 'Nuff said as they will beat Atlanta.

Donovan McNabb and the Redskins should beat the Rams and also get to 2-1 as Sam Bradford takes his lumps this season.

The Eagles take their quarterback controversy to Jacksonville, where Kevin Kolb will again start the game after Michael Vick had a huge outing against the Lions last week.

Whichever player starts is fine as Philadelphia is too talented to lose this one. Take the Eagles.

Peyton Manning and the Colts should have no problem with the Denver Broncos and grab a 2-1 record so far, with hopes that Dallas can somehow beat their rival Texans.

San Diego goes on the road in Seattle and should win this game. They looked much better than in the defeat to K.C. in Week 1 of the schedule playing Jacksonville last week.

The Raiders will be tested in Arizona by the road, pressure to win, and Larry Fitzgerald. The Raiders can and will win this game and be 2-1 for 2010, as I predicted earlier in the preseason.

Green Bay has come out as expected as a Super Bowl NFC favorite with not much disappointment. Expect the Packers to be able to handle the Bears even on the road.

This is a great pick week I feel with a good chance of 13 or 14 wins.

Win your office pool with these.
