Vince Young Pulled: Did Tennessee Titans HC Jeff Fisher Make The Right Decision?
You can see it in Vince Young's eyes every time he's pulled off the field after another deflating interception.
Call it a lack of confidence, disappointment in himself, or whatever you think.
We've seen this before, though. In 2008, Vince Young had a few costly interceptions and was injured in the season opener, only to be replaced by Kerry Collins as the team marched to a 10-0 start.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With high hopes for a run at the Super Bowl, the Titans started Kerry Collins again in 2009 after signing him to a nice contract extension. The team's dreams were deflated after six weeks as the Titans started 0-6.
Enter Vince Young, who may as well have been wearing a red cape with an "S" emblem on the back as he breathed new life into the team and kept them in the hunt for the playoffs almost to the very end.
With that, there was a renewed sense of confidence in Nashville, and it looked like there would be early returns on that confidence as the Titans stomped the Raiders, 38-13.
It was a convincing performance for Young, who rocked out to the tune of 13 of 17 for 154 yards and two touchdowns.
Such was not the case this Sunday against the Steelers. Young sang the blues as he went 7 of 10 for 66 yards with two interceptions.
The Titans know they have a quarterback with a very fragile ego, and they did what they had to in order to protect his easily-shaken confidence. But really, the Titans need to be able to leave their quarterback out there. If he can't be trusted to stay in the game, then he shouldn't be their signal-caller.
Tom Brady was having one of the worst performances of his career Sunday against the top-ranked Jets defense, with a career-high string of six straight incompletions and two interceptions to go with them. But the thought of pulling Brady never crossed their minds because it's without question that Brady gives the Patriots the best chance to win.
It's not like he had a terrible showing against the St. Louis Rams (I'm looking at you, Jason Campbell). It was the Pittsburgh Steelers, who despite talks of an aging defense can still smack you in the mouth and confuse you with their exotic zone blitz scheme.
The Steelers defense can be frustrating for a quarterback—almost as frustrating as a head coach who won't show confidence in him.
Of course, it doesn't help when there are questions surrounding your confidence and leadership, and when there's a quarterback behind you on the depth chart who has proven he can win games, too. But what has Collins done lately to earn the vote of confidence as starter? Vince Young needs to remain the starter because it would go against common logic if he doesn't.
What's joy without sorrow? What's pleasure without pain? You take the good with the bad, in life and in football.
The Titans need to do that, or move away from Vince Young as their quarterback. He may be "Invinceable," but he's not perfect.
