Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After failing miserably in attempting to cover last week’s outrageous pointspread against the Eastern Michigan Eagles, oddsmakers have posted a more reasonable betting number for the Redhawks in their Week 3 match-up with the Rams.
Zac Dysert and the Redhawks got a very stiff challenge from an Eagles squad that went winless last season. Every time they managed to put seven on the board, Eastern Michigan was right there for the answer. The game was all knotted up at 21 apiece heading into the fourth quarter, but Thomas Merriweather’s nine-yard run held up to earn the Redhawks the 28-21 victory.
Though it evened up its record on the year, the Eagles managed to throw for 256 after managing just 31 yards through the air last week against Army. If Florida managed to hold onto the ball in their Week 1 meeting with the Redhawks, there’s no telling just how many yards the Gators would’ve gouged their pass “D” for.
That would have any team worried about going into the next week except unless you were matched up against a team that had thrown for just 195 YPG at 5.7 yards per attempt. That just so happens to be the case this week with Colorado State who’s had no success whatsoever initiating any type of offensive attack.
CSU quarterback Pete Thomas has thrown for a paltry 390 yards to date to go along with a putrid TD:INT ratio of 0/4. You really can’t put all the offense’s woes on his shoulder though, as his O-Line has already allow3ed him to get sacked eight times, and have failed to open up any holes for the ground game (#115 at 63.5 YPG).
On the flipside, the Rams have gone up against a pair of teams that severely outclassed them whether in size (Colorado) or ability (Nevada). Miami Ohio’s defense just gave up a heaping load of yards through the air against an E. Michigan squad not known for its passing attack. This could be the stage that Thomas finally shines, as many expect him to be one of the better MWC field general’s for years to come.
NCAA Football Insider Tip: While CSU has been flat out atrocious across the board to date, the caliber of athlete they’re about to take on will be much less than they’ve faced throughout the first two weeks of the season.
The lines for college football betting look to be a bit rich here since Miami (OH) hasn’t done much in the way of stating they should be favored by more than just the automatic three to four-points for home field advantage. They’ve covered just four of their L/15 homes games including last week’s loss, and I firmly expect them to have their hands full with a CSU team they could come in overconfident against.
My NCAA Football Predictions: Colorado State (+7.5) -110
