Premier League Dream Team 2000- 2010: Right Back Vote

The right back postion is an important postion in that it has to both protect and is responsible for providing width for the Right winger. The following right backs are the ones that have impressed the most this decade.
Right Back: Gary Neville (Manchester Utd)
Love him or hate him Gary Neville has been a rock solid right back for Manchester Utd the past decade. Gary Neville has gotten many recognitions for his talents at right back been in the PFA Team of The Year in 1997, 98 , 99, 2005, 2007.
Lauren (Arsenal)
Part of the invincible that went unbeaten Lauren was a solid right back, good consistent performances and a tank engine that saw him play till the 90th minute. Lauren rightly received the right back position on the team of the year in 2004.
Steve Finnan (Liverpool)
The Irishman was a main component in Rafa Bentiez’s Champions League winning Liverpool. Finnan was expected to leave Liverpool when Rafa took over but a good pre season changed Bentiez mind. Rafa famously said “With Finnan you will always get a 7 rating or higher.”
Steven Carr (Tottenham)
A suprise choice but Carr has continually impressed soccer fans. With Tottenham, Carr enjoyed his best years claiming the right back postion in the team of the year awards in 2001 and 2003. Carr plays with Birmingham City.
Lee Dixon (Arsenal)
The second Arsenal man to make the list. A double winning player Dixon played in three decades of football before retiring at the age of 38. Dixon always credits manager Arsene Wenger for pro longing his career.
Glen Johnson (Liverpool)
Currently lavished for his attacking prowess, the English international has had problems with defending but attacking is one of the finest right backs. With Portsmouth, Glen Johnson won a slot on the FA Team of the year in 2009.
