NFL Week Two Quick Picks
After that long off-season, it's hard to even believe that we're looking at week two already in the NFL.
Did last week's outcomes shock some of you?
Not me. In fact, I went 12-4, but if you're like me and think the "catch" rule is wrong, then I was really 13-3. Not too shabby.
The Lions were robbed, but sadly the call after the review was right. Well, "right" in the fact that it followed the rule, but it just goes to show the rule is flawed. Anyone with two eyes knows that was a catch.
Well, you wanted them, so here they are, my quick picks for week two.
Balitmore at Cincinnati

I bought into the hype of Batman and Robin last week and it burned me, but I don't think the Bengals lose their home opener to a team that hasn't proven it can score points.
I'm taking the Bengals, 16-10.
Chicago at Dallas

After the poor coaching decisions and lack of discipline by the Cowboys, it makes it really hard to pick them, but they are at home coming off a tough loss against the rival Redskins. Plus, if it weren't for a strange rule, the Bears would have lost at home to the Lions, so that makes it nearly impossible to pick them.
I got the 'Boys bouncing back, 28-10.
Philadelphia at Detroit

Vick gave the Eagles offense life last week and will probably start this week. Unlike Green Bay, Detroit is probably game-planning for Vick, but it's still Detroit. Plus, Vick is looking to make the Kevin Kolb era in Philly a very short one. He's going to play his butt off.
Eagles in a landslide, 45-3.
Arizona at Atlanta

Last week in Pittsburgh was rough for the Falcons; luckily for them, they welcome Derrick Anderson and the Arizona Cardinals to Atlanta.
With no Cardinals offense to speak of, the Falcons won't have to put up a lot of points to win.
They will, though. 24-13, Falcons.
Kansas City at Cleveland

KC shocked a lot of folks last week, including me. They'll have no problem improving to 2-0 over the Browns.
Chiefs win, 17-6.
Buffalo at Green Bay
6 of 17
Though Green Bay looked a little out of sorts in the second half last week, Buffalo looked just terrible. Aaron Rodgers should put up some superhuman fantasy stats on Sunday.
Pack wins big, 56-3.
Pittsburgh at Tennessee

It's scary how bad the Steelers offense was last week against Atlanta without Big Ben, and it will only get worse against the Titans.
Vince Young had a heck of day and so did CJ2.
Titans roll, 21-10.
Tampa Bay at Carolina

I'd call this game the "Toilet Bowl," but I'm not quite sure how bad the Panthers really are. Last week the Giants got fired up in the second half and the Panthers couldn't get anything going, so they might be better than what the scoreboard read.
However, the Bucs are exactly who we thought they were. By season's end, they will be competing with the Bills for the No. 1 draft pick.
Panthers bounce back, 24-6
Miami at Minnesota

Neither team looked too good in their opening game, but the Vikings showed promise against the defending champs, where the Dolphins barely escaped against the lowly Bills.
Favre shows he's still got it and the Vikes will stay within a game of the Packers. Vikes win, 17-13.
St. Louis at Oakland

The Raiders think they can compete in the AFC West, while the Rams are just looking to rebuild. I think the sheer craziness of that insane asylum the Raiders call home is enough to shake rookie quarterback Sam Bradford.
Raiders cruise, 21-9.
Seattle at Denver

I'm going to come out and say it: the Seahawks' win against the 49ers was a fluke. Seattle won't have enough luck to go into Mile High (or whatever they call it now) and come out with a win.
Broncos (without Tebow) win, 31-13.
Houston at Washington
12 of 17
To be completely honest with you, I think this game is a pick 'em. Unlike some of the others, I think there are more factors to consider here in determining who comes out on top.
I picked both teams to win last week when most picked their opponents, and I think both teams have a legitimate shot at the postseason.
I think this game hinges on Arian Foster. If he can put up big numbers, then the Texans should win. But if the 'Skins can stuff the run, I think their pass rush will be too much for Houston.
After watching the Cowboys vs. 'Skins game, I'm not too sure about Washington's run defense.
So it's Houston in a shoot-out, 35-28.
New England at NY Jets

Before Monday night, I thought this was going to be a difficult game to pick. But after seeing how bad the Jets offense played and how good the Patriots looked, this game became easy.
Revis can shut down Moss all he likes, Wes Welker will carry the load.
Pats win, 38-9.
Jacksonville at San Diego

The Chargers bounce back from a shocking Monday night loss and take care of business at home.
24-14.
NY Giants at Indianapolis

Manning Bowl 2010 Kicks Off on NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Who would have thought that Eli would be the one sporting the undefeated record in this one (granted, it's 1-0)?
After Arian Foster torched the the Colts, I'm sure the Giants are looking to do the same. Peyton is going to have to put up a lot of points, so Eli and company can't just hand it off.
This might come as a shocker, but the Colts fall to 0-2. Giants win, 27-24.
New Orleans at San Francisco

Mike Singletary is going to be thanking another head coach for beating his team's butt.
The Champs pound the 49ers on national television, 38-3.
