Dallas Cowboys Injury Report: Week 2

Derek MajorSep 15, 2010

The Cowboys left Washington with no serious injuries and will see two players who were previously injured come back to practice.

Linebacker DeMarcus Ware suffered a neck strain late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, and missed the rest of the game, but coach Wade Phillips said that Ware was ok and should practice and play this week.

Ware had a neck strain last season against the Packers and was able to play in the next game against the New Orleans Saints

Wide receiver Dez Bryant re-aggravated his high ankle sprain and missed a series, but returned to finish the game. Phillips said they expected Bryant to be a bit sore yesterday but that he would be able to practice by Thursday

Linebacker Sean Lee strained his hamstring on Sunday during the Cowboys first punt, but played through it finishing the game. Phillips was upset that Lee didn't inform the staff of his injury and Lee likely won't play of practice this week.

Fullback Deon Anderson injured his knee during yesterday's practice and is unlikely to play on Sunday. He will be reevaluated on Thursday.

Offensive linemen Kyle Kosier and Marc Colombo are expected to return to practice this week, but it's unclear if they will play this week. Kosier sprained his MCL during camp and Colombo had a knee scope during the preseason.

Montrae Holland and Alex Barron started in their place on Sunday, and while Holland had a good game and didn't receive any penalties, Barron was called for three holding penalties including on the last play of the game.

Marcus Spears (knee), Gerald Sensabaugh (shoulder), and Josh Brent (hand) all played on Sunday and are expected to practice and play against the Bears this weekend.
