Kevin Kolb Vs. Michael Vick: Philadelphia Eagles Should Start the Redeemer at QB
Andy Reid has said there is no quarterback battle in Philadelphia, and Kevin Kolb will be the Eagles' starting quarterback when he is healthy enough to play.
However, is Kolb the best option, or should the Eagles turn to Michael Vick?
After Kolb left Sunday’s game at halftime with a concussion, Vick became just the third Eagles' quarterback to rush for over 100 yards and throw for at least 175 yards in the same game since 1960 (Donovan McNabb and Randall Cunningham are the other two).

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kolb was 5-of-10 for 24 yards, and was only able to get three points out of the Eagles' offense.
Vick rushed for 103 yards, threw for 175 yards and a touchdown, and led the Eagles to 17 second-half points.
The Vick-led comeback fell short, and the Eagles did lose to the Packers, but Vick was a playmaker. He was dynamic, electric, and a dual-threat quarterback. He reminded everyone of the Vick they were used to seeing in Atlanta.
Reid has said he is sticking with Kolb as he starter, but Vick’s play did not go unnoticed by the Eagles’ coach.
“I thought Michael was phenomenal,” Reid said. “He brought the team back, he kept his poise.”
Vick’s playmaking ability and return to his old self was noticeable right away. On the first play of the third quarter, Vick scrambled for 23 yards.
There may not be a quarterback controversy in Philadelphia, but it is evident Vick gave the Eagles a spark. He was able to do something Kolb could not: Move the offense and put points on the board.
He may not be a traditional quarterback, or even the type of quarterback the Eagles want for their offense, but Vick was effective and should start in Week 2.
Depending on the severity of Kolb’s concussion, Vick may start regardless, but if Kolb is healthy, he will start, and will probably look just as uncomfortable in the pocket as he did in the first half on Sunday.
