The Oakland Raiders Must Alter the Pattern and Start Winning
I am busy at 1:46 am CT, researching and thinking about the situation with the Oakland Raiders following their blowout loss to the Tennessee Titans.
The patterns of the past must be perturbed, shaken and disturbed. They must change.
Here is a little data to support my viewpoint.

Historical Observations
1. The St. Louis Rams and the Oakland Raiders seem to be mirror images of each other if you compare the win-loss percentage of the second game of the regular season.
2. From 2000 to 2009, the Rams won only 40 percent of the second game of the regular season. It means that they loss 60 percent of the second game of the regular season.
3. From 2000 to 2009, the Oakland Raiders won 60 percent of the second game of the regular season. The Raiders loss 40 percent of the second game of the regular season.
4. During this time period and focusing on the second game of the regular season, the Rams only had one consecutive set of wins. In 2001 and in 2000 the Rams won their second game of the regular season.
5. The Raiders had two sets of consecutive wins of the second game of the regular season. In 2008 and 2009, the Raiders won their second game of the regular season for each of those years. They won three consecutive second games of the regular season in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
So where do we want the perturbation. In other words, when and where do we want the past patterns to be disturbed.
Here is an answer. We do not want two consecutive losses. We expect a victory over the Rams.
We do want consecutive wins in 2010.
And you, the reader can add to the list of pattern changes that we expect.
Go Raiders! We want some perturbation of the data to make things right!
