New England Patriots: 2010 Offense Could Be As Dominating As the 2007 Team
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots silenced a lot of critics Sunday as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, in impressive fashion, 38-24.
By watching this game twice, ( I DVR'd it), I am extremely impressed with New England's offense. Not only from the plethora of weapons Brady has, but the protection he got from the offensive line was phenomenal.
I know this is only week one, but this team's offense could be better, if not as good, as the record breaking 2007 offense.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Let's look at this at a glance: New England played the New York Jets week one in 2007 and put up 38 points; this week one in '10, the Pats did the same, but against a divisional winner in the Cincinnati Bengals.
If you look at this offense on paper, you simply are replacing tight end Ben Watson and wide reciever Donte Stallworth with tight ends Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronkowski, and Alge Crumpler, and up and coming receivers with Julian Edelman, Brandon Tate, and Taylor Price. But then again, that's just "paper".
But when you look at the stats from week one against the Bengals, Brady threw for 258 yards while completing 25 of his 35 passes and scoring three times. Now back to '07, Brady threw for 297 yards while completing 22 of his 28 passes and scoring three times. That's almost identical.
I know it's only week one, but the Bengals have a good defense with one of the leagues top passing defenses.
While watching this game, it appears that Brady is now spreading the ball around more, unlike what he did last year, but more like the '07 Pats, or even like the Super Bowl winning teams.
When you look at the game today, the Pats were just too much too handle against a strong defense. Brady completed passes to seven different players.
Wes Welker led the way with eight receptions for 64 yards while scoring twice. It's almost scary how well this man performed considering his just under-went major knee surgery this past off-season.
Another thing that I'd like to point out is how this offenses' passing attack can hurt you in so many different ways:
One: Moss can burn you over the top, which will spread the field, mean-while he could be a poession receiver.
Two: With Moss spreading the field, this allows Welker to find seams in the defense which allows him to be Brady's "go-to-guy."
And three: the teams tight ends are like "thunder and lightning". Hernandez is almost un-coverable because he's built like a tight end but runs like a wide receiver and with Gronkowski, he's a pure tight end that looks like a basketball player out there.
It's safe to say that I have fallen in-love with the Pats' offense.
If the teams' defense can hold the opponents to under 20 points with the offensive line protecting Brady, I can strongly say that this team can compete with anyone.
