NFL Week Two Winners and Lock Picks To Take To The Bank

Thomas MorelandSep 12, 2010

In Week One of the 2010 NFL season I was 10-6 to start the year, with picks resulting in losses from Indianapolis,Atlanta,Cleveland,Philadelphia,San Francisco, and it looks like Dallas as well.

Houston did surprise me a bit and I will take note of that game especially in future NFL contests.

Tampa Bay got flat out lucky with a juggled pass-spin around and catch it anyway touchdown, and a bad throw by Jake Delhomme.

Kevin Kolb went out early with a concussion, and who's the back-up? Michael Vick of course did a decent job and almost pulled

The 49er's looked horrible and the Cardinals not much better, so it's Seattle in the West? Hmm?

In Week two the Steelers travel to Tennessee and will have more trouble with this team, than they did with Atlanta. Take the Titans at home if only for that reason. Dennis Dixon will have a difficult time in this place.

In a very interesting match-up Minnesota plays Miami in the Metro-Dome and what do the Vikings have planned to stop the dynamic running of Brown and Williams? The Dolphins were a lock pick last week and beat Buffalo by five points.

I have to like the home team in this game, and Brett Favre to be a bit better in his home opener.

Arizona travels to Atlanta and will lose. The Falcons will win at home. Lock that one up and take it to the bank.

The Ravens travel into Cincinnati and should come out with a win here, as they appear very good on paper against this team. That's all I give you on that one, so watch that game.

Kansas City travels into Cleveland who lost to Tampa Bay last week. This is a triangle of bad teams still as I will take Cleveland to somehow win a game at home.

Chicago goes into Dallas with not enough weapons on offense to win this game. Dallas wins this game easily as that will be lock number two this week. Dallas was my lock pick also last week and got slammed by the new Redskins much to my dismay.

Philadelphia has problems and this game might difficult enough to win without Kolb, who will be out for at least a week with the newer concussion minded NFL.

I will go for Vick and take the Eagles in this one. Stafford may be out as well.

Buffalo will be destroyed by the Packers. Lock this one up too. This is too easy a bet, I'm thinking.

Tampa Bay could go 2-0 with a win over Carolina but I don't think that happens. Carolina scored points agaiinst the Giants on the road, and Tampa Bay will not put up more than 21 points this week. The under would be very good in this game. Take the Panthers.

Seattle looks pretty good and I will bite. Denver is doomed this season with that coach. Is this really an upset?Take the Seahawks before everyone figures out what's up.

The Raiders will win at home against the Rams and be at an even keel of 1-1 for the young season.

I certainly now like Houston to be the exciting new AFC team on the block and beat Washington to go 2-0, which will feel weird to the Texans whom always start slow.

New England sure looks proficient enough to beat the Jets, but the Jets could step up in this early division clash. I will not change my pre-season prediction of the Patriots losing this game.

San Diego should be able to handle a traveling Jaguar team and hold serve at home. Take the Chargers.

The Colts should be an angry team to play after they got beat by Houston. Peyton Manning hardly ever loses two in a row. Take the Colts to storm back on offense this week and overwhelm the Giants.

New Orleans will beat San Francisco next week as the 49er's seem a year away from better days in this league.

Last week I was 10-6 in a few surprises I really did not expect.

This week should even out a bit with the craziness.
