Ok, enough with the plugs, on to the scores.
Miami Dolphins 15, Buffalo Bills 10
1 of 12
Miami Beat Buffalo 15-10.
C.J. Spiller was not a factor and the Miami Defense had a good day. Chan Gailey's debut isn't something Bills fans are going to want to remember.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17, Cleveland Browns 14
2 of 12
The Buccaneers came back to beat the Browns 17-14.
Jake Delhomme came out firing, looking like his Pro Bowl self. Then the 2009 version of Delhomme showed up and it was downhill from there.
The Buccaneers steal a victory from a Browns team that still can't play four quarters.
New England 38, Bengals 24
3 of 12
Don't let the 38-24 score fool you, it wasn't that close.
Carson Palmer and the Bengals had some success in the second half, but the outcome of the game never was in doubt.
Houston Texans 34, Indianapolis Colts 24
4 of 12
The Texans victory over the Colts, 34-24, qualifies as the upset of the week.
The Texans are a team on the rise, but to think they'd take down the Colts in Week 1 with Peyton Manning behind center is almost unthinkable.
Almost . . I'm sure the Texans fans couldn't stop thinking about it.
Jacksonville 24, Denver 17
5 of 12
Yes, Tim Tebow played, the Angels sang, and dogs and cats are living together in peace and harmony.
The Jaguars still won 24-17, though.
Atlanta 9, Pittsburgh 15
6 of 12
Overtime!!!!!
The Steelers squeaked out a 15-9 victory in overtime that won't be remembered as a titanic battle between quarterbacks.
Tennessee 38, Oakland 13
7 of 12
Yeah, this game really wasn't full of surprises.
Oakland may have a new quarterback, but the outcome remained the same, Tennessee romped all over them 38-13.
Carolina Panthers 18, New York Giants 31
8 of 12
The score, 31-18 New York, is an accurate reflection of where both teams are.
Eli Manning is leading a playoff-caliber team and Carolina likes scores divisible by six.
Detroit Lions 14, Chicago Bears 19
9 of 12
The 19-14 final score didn't come without it's share of controversy.
Controversy aside, Matthew Stafford got injured and the Lions don't even have a win to show for it.
I can't make fun of the Lions, they didn't ask for this.
Seattle 31, San Francisco 6
10 of 12
Pete Carroll leads his Seahawks to an overwhelming victory, 31-6, over the 49ers.
The 49ers are the kind of team you want to root for, because Mike Singletary is the head coach and he's entertaining.
Then again, Carroll provides his own kind of entertainment every time he ducks a USC question.
Arizona 17, St. Louis 13
11 of 12
It's a 17-13 win for the Cardinals.
But Derek Anderson still is the Cardinals starting quarterback, and anyone who follows Anderson knows the good times never last.
At least Sam Bradford didn't get killed.
Green Bay 27, Philadelphia 20
12 of 12
The injury lists to come from this brutal game are going to require a table of contents.
Guys were getting carried off the field left and right at one point during this game.
Watching the highlights won't be for the faint of heart.
