Giants vs. Panthers: Eli Manning Dunk Pass the Key To Victory
Going up against such a good passing defense, Eli should be looking to dump off the ball to keep the secondary off balance.
There's no better man for this than tight end Kevin Boss.
This big man has the speed and soft hands to get open and make plays.
Coughlin and company should call a couple outs and posts against the Carolina defense and then go deep to Smith and Hakeem Nick
Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs Need to Take Hold Early
1 of 5
Jacobs is angry that he's been dropped to second string, but he'll still be vital to the Giants offense.
Last year the Panthers were ranked eight in total defense, but 22nd in rush defense, giving up 125 rushing yards per game.
The Giants need to take advantage of this.
They need to give the ball to Jacobs and Bradshaw early, establish a rhythm, and tire out the Carolina defense.
If Bradshaw can run for about 75 yards and Jacobs for 50, the Giants win this one.
Find Steve Smith on Both Sides of the Ball
2 of 5
Yes, both of them.
On the defensive side of the ball the Giants are going up against a premiere wide receiver.
This will be a tough first test for the Giants secondary, which was below average last year.
It'll be interesting to see how changes like the acquisition of Antrel Rolle effect this defense.
Under center, Eli Manning needs to rely on USC star Steve Smith as his number one-wide receiver.
Previous Giant playmakers at the receiving end were Ike Hilliard, Amani Toomer, Jeremy Shockey, and Plaxico Burress.
Without those pro-bowlers, Eli needs to look for Smith to give him the confidence it takes to be the top wideout for the Giants.
Giants Need to Stop DeAngelo Williams
3 of 5
He's good.
Williams has been consistent to say the least, breaking 1,000 yards for the past two seasons.
I'm paying attention to newly acquired Keith Bullock and whether or not he can solve the Giants linebacking woes.
Also, pay attention to Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora and whether they they can lead the Giants back to the playoffs.
Use Kevin Boss To Develop Passing Attack

New York Giants Take Advantage of Matt Moore's Inexperience
5 of 5
Quarterback Matt Moore has only started eight games in his NFL career.
This means that if the defensive line can knock him down early, Moore will be out of sync that much more.
Look for Osi and Tuck to be gunning for Moore early to get him thinking about being hit.
