The Elite: Best Wrestlers in WWE Today

Due to my mild success in previous slideshows. I've been devising my latest creation for the past three weeks.

The Best Wrestlers in WWE. While Chris Jericho calls him self "The Best in the World at what he does" he has some very stiff competition in his fellow WWE Superstars.

Readers this article is not based on Mic-skill. Solely on in-ring ability. So half of the WWE Roster just dropped off this list. Including Mr. Awesome himself, The Miz. 

All Genres Technical, Lucha, Submission, or just down right brawling are included.

These guys don't need a World Title, because their talent outweighs any World Title WWE can put on them.

Every WWE Superstar was given a fair chance to make this list: if a push were based on your skills and not how you can cut a promo.

These guys would be the faces of WWE.

Maybe they could live up to their predecessors, and the man who they call the "Next Shawn Michaels" starts off this list...

John Morrison

Yeah before I hear it , John Morrison is no Shawn Michaels. We all know HBK can never be replaced.

But John Morrison has many characteristics of Ol HBK. While John Morrison has been lost in the RAW mix as of late, things are looking up for the Shaman. 

Knocking off Y2J Monday, and putting him out of the Six Pack Challenge definitely put JoMo back on the right track.

With Y2J possibly leaving the WWE, his main event spot is open.

Perfect timing for John. 

On to in-ring ability. The Guy is a innovator. While Starship Pain is more like a crowd pleaser, his Moonlight Drive was definitely an effective maneuver.

Morrison has some natural wrestling ability. But where he shines is his high-flying.

The Chuck Kick, Flip bottom, 450 On top standing opponent! Sometimes holding a ladder!

Watch his match with Rey Mysterio from Smackdown! last year. Pure magic. When you have two wrestlers who use basically the Genre of wrestling.

Morrison also has three Intercontinental Titles, one ECW Title reign, and multiple tag team title reigns on his resume.

What can't this guy do???

When Jim Ross say's you have the potential to be as good as HBK, you must be doing something right, eh?

Daniel Bryan

What would this list be without the Best Wrestler in the World?

Chris Jericho might call himself the best but Daniel Bryan surpasses Y2J by in ring ability. By a LONGSHOT. Want proof? Watch Summerslam.

Now Bryan was trained by HBK himself at Texas Wrestling Academy. Like 10 years ago. Now this guy is such a innovator. He mixes his technical wrestling ability with the High-flying genre. 

Have you seen him utilize the LaBell Lock? Ask the Miz and Alex Riley about it.

Bryan also excelled in his striking ability. His kicks are devastating. Remember him kicking the Poster Boy in the head?

While he hasn't won any matches since Summerslam. He has been the Star of all the ones he competes in. The pairing with Kaval Monday was very interesting.

When you have guys like William Regal & Shawn Michaels training you, it benefits, huh?

This guy is like Kurt Angle but Rey Mysterio-sized.

Question whether he is the best? Wrestling Observer Newsletter has ranked him the best technical wrestler since 2005, Most Outstanding Wrestler since 2009, and the Best Wrestler of the last decade.

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is one of the best wrestlers of all time. He reminds us almost every week.

Do you understand what I'm saying to you right now? Jericho like Bryan is a smaller superstar.

He also carries many characteristic's of HBK. Every time he faces Shawn it's a classic. Even at Wrestlemania a few years back. Y2J even used the SCM on Mr. Wrestlemania himself.

Jericho is greatness personified. His in-ring ability may be slowly declining, but he is still a lot better than most. He also adds the high-flying style to his arsenal. The Lionsault is incredible.

The Codebreaker is devastating, and can be hit out of nowhere. Submission is definitely where Jericho shines. The Walls have brought down many.

Many can call Jericho the full package. He, unlike JoMo and Bryan, is great on the mic. Some of you even rank him the Greatest Wrestler of all time.

Being the First Undisputed Champion in WWE history is also a great credential.

While Jericho may be drawing closer to hanging up the boots, he is definitely ONE of the best at what he does.

The Undertaker

This guy is never recognized for work in the ring. But he makes my list. The Undertaker can just about do it all.

With his size, this guy can jump over the top rope as if he was Rey Mysterio and make it look just as good. Now the Deadman is definitely a Brawler. This guy looks like a boxer sometimes.

The Best Pure Striker in the WWE also adds to his arsenal. Hell's Gate aka The Gogoplata, Triangle Choke, and the Dragon Sleeper. Keep in the mind that he is almost 7 feet tall!

Undertaker shines in power moves like the Chokeslam and Last Ride. Tombstone also displays the Deadmans strength. It's not easy holding a guy like Mark Henry over your shoulder, then dropping him on his head. Ouch.

His last two matches at Wrestlemania against HBK are arguably the Greatest of All Time. When you put two wrestlers of their caliber on the Grandest Stage of them all. Your going to get your money's worth.

Six Time World Champion is also a start. He has beaten every major WWE Superstar in the WWE today at Wrestlemania.

Name them, he has beaten them. Except for Cena, which seems to be in the near future.

Kaval

Whoa, look at how high that guy is. Who else can do that? Nobody in the WWE. While I might get a lot of grief for including this guy, who cares? When I see greatness I discuss it.

Now Kaval is a "newcomer" the WWE scene. But the Warrior is already performing at their level. Last night's match against Drew McIntyre showcased his high-flying ability, even though he lost.

When he kicked Drew in the face, it was absolutely amazing.

Kaval is a striker his mixes it with devastating high flying maneuvers. He integrates some form of Martial Arts with his wrestling.

Thing is, it WORKS for him. His size also works against him. They say he may never be a World Champion.

Look at Shawn Michaels & Y2J and ask yourself if SIZE is really important.

Warrior's Way is Kaval's finisher. Very Innovative. Also effective. Just imagine a guy like that stomping on your face/chest from that height.

He had been performing on WWE NXT Season 2 for the past few months. Unsurprisingly he won. I mean, everyone had flaws in their work besides him. The attack on him last week. BOTCHED. 

The Next Breakout Superstar is destined for greatness, if utilized correctly.

Melina

Yeah your wondering how a Diva makes this list? They tend to botch a lot. But Melina is something special.

Melina is the best Women's Wrestler in WWE today.Yeah I don't care about PWI ranking Michelle McCool the best. She's not.

Stealing your Gimmick and Finisher from TNA is not something that I would be proud of.

Innovation is one way to describe Melina's ability. 

The Sunset Split is awesome. Using your flexibility to create an effective Finisher is amazing.

Melina's whole moveset is innovation excluding The Last Call. Aggressive is also another way to describe Melina.

Melina also has great striking ability. Utilizes multiple submissions & incorporates the lucha style to some of her moves.

She gets a lot of grief due to her constant injuries. The Divas division is full of botches. So I don't complain. Look at Beth Phoenix, Lita's, and Trish's Injuries over the years.

If WWE didn't have Melina, TNA's Knockouts Division would be superior. She missed the PWI 50 this year due to injury

The Hitman Bret Hart called Melina the Best Wrestler in the World today. Coming from a wrestler of his caliber, that's an award.
