NFL Week 1 Storylines: Brett Favre Getting Old, Tom Brady Crashes
Week One of the NFL already is under way, but the stories are just beginning as we head into the first big weekend of the season.
The Thursday night kickoff featured a pretty good game that didn't quite play out how a lot of people predicted it would and this weekend's games feature some very good matchups.
So, since the Vikings are the only team in the NFL with a losing record at this juncture, let's take a look at the rest of the undefeated storylines coming Sunday and Monday.
Brett Favre Isn't Ready for the Season Yet
1 of 7
Favre only had one interception, but he just didn't look like "Brett Favre" Thursday night.
The easy way out, like I did with the headline, is to just say "he's getting old." But now that you're here I'll level with you.
Favre needed one more week of preparation because, while he didn't look up to his usual form, it just seemed like he was just out of sync with his offensive line and his receivers.
This problem most likely will be gone by next week.
Does Tom Brady's Car Crash Mean Anything?
2 of 7
No.
Tom Brady was driving a car with so many safety features he probably only noticed he got hit when he saw the van shear off the front end of his car.
Expect Brady to come out firing. The Bengals secondary is in for a rough ride on Sunday.
What Will The Pittsburgh Steelers Offense Look Like?

Dennis Dixon is not Ben Roethlisberger.
That sentence is meant in the fact that Dixon can not scramble and make plays happen the way Roethlisberger always has been able to do, overcoming a chronically weak offensive line.
It's going to be a long day for Dixon and the makeshift line Head Coach Mike Tomlin is stuck with.
How About Them Cowboys?
4 of 7
The Cowboys preseason was rough, there's no other way to put it. Even though the games don't count and the coaches spend a lot of time not worrying about certain things, Head Coach Wade Phillips definitely was worried going into the Week Four game.
Mike Shanahan is coaching the Redskins now and it looks like this game is going to be smashmouth football.
The question isn't whether or not Albert Haynesworth is going to be there, or how well Donovan McNabb is going to play, it's which Cowboys team is going to be on the field.
Good Jake, Or Bad Jake?
5 of 7
In a game only the Cleveland and Tampa Bay fans are interested in the big question is which Jake Delhomme shows up.
The Pro Bowler of yesteryear?
Or the turnover machine of 2009.
Cleveland fans hope it's the former, Tampa Bay fans hope it's the latter.
Are The Kevin Kolb Eagles For Real?
6 of 7
How do you follow Donovan McNabb?
In Philadelphia?
Kevin Kolb isn't just under a lot of pressure to win, as any NFL starting quarterback is, he's also under pressure to look good and keep the fickle fans of Philadelphia on his side.
Not an easy task, and Head Coach Andy Reid is also going to feel the heat if the Kolb experiment fails and McNabb leads the Redskins to the playoffs.
Will We See Tim Tebow?
7 of 7
If Tim Tebow fans see their hero this weekend it means something went horribly wrong in Denver.
Tebow's place on the sidelines should stay secure through this season, but that doesn't mean the fans won't be clamoring for him, especially if Kyle Orton tosses a few poorly-timed interceptions.
There's always next year, Tebow fans.
