Randy Is Still Dandy: 5 Teams Randy Moss May Be Receiving for Post 2011

Nick RagnerSep 12, 2010

Before anyone decides to bash me, yes I  know, we have an entire season of football before this becomes reality.

But to me, this also happens to be the biggest contract issue in football right now.

Moss has proven to still be a top-three wide receiver (see Fitz and A.J.) despite what his birth certificate says.  The guy broke the record for TD catches in a season just two years ago and even had a Pro Bowl season with Matt Cassel at the helm.

Randy Moss has recently came out to say he is unhappy with his contract and feels unwanted by the Patriots.  With that said, I feel the need to give all of you B/R readers insight on exactly who Randy will be running down the sidelines for (if there is no lockout) next season.

So here it is B/R readers, the five most realistic teams to see Randy Moss catching for post 2011:

Denver Broncos

To start things off, we have the always exciting Josh McDaniels and company.

McDaniels has made a splash in his short stint in Denver and is letting everyone know about it.

It seems this guy is willing to do anything for a little exposure, whether it is running superstar players out of Denver or making a controversial draft pick.

McDaniels will see Moss as a free agent and jump on the opportunity.

Not only would this make headlines, this would also fill the void of Brandon Marshall leaving.

Moss would be able to step in right away and contribute, giving Denver's 2011 starter at QB (Tebow) a deep threat and reliable hands.

Washington Redskins

The Redskins need to make a move.

With the big move to bring aging Donovan McNabb to D.C., this team needs to win now while they still have a face at quarterback.

Moss would obviously bring in a good pair of veteran hands for McNabb to go alongside Chris Cooley and the "other" Moss (Santana).

The Redskins' offense is getting older, and they really need to make a move to stay competitive in a division some call the toughest in all of football.

With Moss becoming a free agent, look for Bruce Allen to due whatever it takes to bring Moss' services to the nation's capital.

Chicago Bears

Out of the five, this pick seems to be the best for both parties.

If Moss becomes a free agent next year, I believe that Chicago will be one of the first teams to bid.

With Mike Martz's passing offense, Moss would be a perfect fit.

Plus, with Cutler's cannon, Moss' speed and unreal jumping ability would flourish.

This would also fill Chicago's drought of having Pro Bowl talent at the receiver position.

Moss would also love Chicago because this move would instantly make this team a contender in a tough division  With Detroit progressing every season and Green Bay having a guy named Aaron Rodgers, Chicago would need to make a move with the ever competitive NFC North.

St. Louis Rams

"Bradford drops back...looks right...unleashes a bomb and hits Randy Moss in stride for a TOUCHDOWN!"

Those words would be orgasmic to Rams fans' ears.

After T.J. was cut from Seattle following the preseason, the Rams showed interest in the veteran receiver to ease the growing pains for rookie QB Sam Bradford.

Bringing in Moss does not only do that, but it makes this offense something to actually be scared of.

With a season under Bradford's belt, and arguably the best running back in the league in Steven Jackson, Moss would bring to the table another position player who could make big plays.

With another season going by, Moss to the Rams could evolve this team into a playoff contender rather than a team bidding for a top draft pick.

New England Patriots

Of course, the number one destination after this season is New England, and they would be stupid to let him go.

Moss has created history in a Patriots uniform and he has definitely earned a right to a new deal.

Plus it really doesn't make any sense to why New England would release him.

The combination in the perfect slot receiver in Welker and a deep threat in Moss just can't be broken up.

And yes people say, "Well Nick that Pats have pretty good depth at wide out, why would they want to pay an aging money hound like Moss?"

The reason for that my good friend is and easy one and is overlooked.

Moss brings attention off of the Edelman's and Tate's and really allows guys like that to flourish by creating mismatches on defense thanks to his demanding of double coverage.

Tom Brady really doesn't need the name of Randy Moss to be a winner, Moss is really just an extra special option that Brady has to ensure success.

This would also be the smartest option for Moss because the Patriots give him the best option of both being a contender and offering him the money and playing time that he wants.

Until Moss makes his decision, we really will have no clue what this guy will do.

But I do want to know where you guys think he'll be going.

Remaining with the Pats? Possibly reuniting with Minnesota? For some odd reason, going to the Seahawks?  I won't judge.

So B/R members, who is Dandy Randy going to be catching passes for?
