Live Blog: Yankees Begin Playoff-Preview Series In Texas
With a little over 20 games to go in the 2010 Major League Baseball season, and the playoffs looming, the Yankees will visit the Rangers in what could be a preview of the ALDS. The Yankees come into this game atop the AL East by 2.5 games, while the Rangers are a comfortable 7.5 games ahead of the second place Angels.
The Yankees will send Javier Vazquez to the mound, who will continue to weakly hold onto his spot in the starting rotation. He has a 5.01 ERA on the season.
The Rangers will put up C.J. Wilson. Wilson has a 3.10 ERA this season, but gave up six earned runs in his last start against the Twins.
