Aaron Rodgers Is Overhyped Until He Wins in the Playoffs
Lately, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has appeared on all sorts of magazine covers.
That sort of attention isn't bad for him because I think he deserves it.
The knock on Rodgers is winning in the postseason, despite posting back-to-back 4,000-yard seasons.
And on top of that, his postseason success will be compared to the Packers' previous quarterback for 16 seasons, Brett Favre.
When Rodgers can lead the Packers to the Super Bowl, the talk will cease.
Giving him the keys to the offense in his third season as a starter is going overboard.
That's a lot of pressure to put on a young quarterback, but we'll see if the Packers can live up to the hype.
We can say on paper that the Green and Gold will be the NFC Champions, if you believe that.
In reality, the games must be played.
I'd say, play the games first, then we'll see where the Packers fit in in the postseason, if they make it.
If they don't make it, heads will roll up in Titletown.
The team's shareholders don't want to hear that expectations weren't met.
There's only one objective: Super Bowl or bust.
Until then, the Packers will begin their quest in their first real game on the road at Philadelphia.
