Tom EdringtonSep 7, 2010

By now you've seen them all: Peter King predicting a 2-14 record for your Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Monday Night Football crew member Ron Jaworski going with "less than five wins"; former coach Jon Gruden declaring "far more than five wins" for this 2010 version of your mighty Bucs.

Without further delay, after months of extensive study and research and channeling the great "Carnac," here is this fearless breakdown of how the season will shake out:

A total MUST-WIN game for the fellas. Never has an opener loomed so large. You can bet a lot of Bucs fans have a "W" next to this game.

Prediction:  Good chance.

Sept. 19 at Carolina

This team is revamping to some degree as well, with a young quarterback and established runners. Julius Peppers, a thorn in Tampa's side, is gone. This is the team in the division that the Bucs will be measured against.

Prediction: Decent chance.

Sept. 26 vs. Steelers

Sure, there's the quarterback situation, but this is still the Steelers' defense. And it's a tough one.

Prediction: No chance.

Oct. 3 Bye weekend

Oct. 10 at Cincinnati

Too much firepower for these Bengals. They are expected to contend for the playoffs.

Prediction: No chance.

Oct. 17 vs. New Orleans

Defending Super Bowl champs will remember last year's loss to the Bucs.

Prediction: No chance

Oct. 24 vs. St. Louis

Let's put it in the most simple terms:  MUST WIN!

Prediction: Great chance.

Oct. 31 at Arizona

These Cardinals still have weapons and it's on the road. Would like the chances better if it were a home game.

Prediction: Decent chance.

Nov. 7 at Atlanta

The Falcons are making a push this year, have sellout crowds, and a tough atmosphere.

Prediction: Very slight chance.

Nov. 14 vs. Carolina

Return bout with the Panthers on home turf.

Prediction: Decent chance.

Nov. 21 at San Francisco

Too improved for the Bucs to handle.

Prediction: No chance.

Nov. 28 at Baltimore

Way too much Ravens defense.

Prediction: No chance.

Dec. 5 vs. Atlanta

Can the home field provide any advantage without sellouts? Do the Bucs have any healthy players left in December?

Prediction: Slight chance.

Dec. 12 at Washington

Is Donovan McNabb still upright?

Prediction: Decent chance.

Dec. 19 vs. Detroit Lions

MUST WIN! Is there any other way to say it?

Prediction: Great chance.

Dec. 26 vs. Seattle

Merry Christmas, Raheem.

Prediction:  Great chance.

Jan. 2 at New Orleans

Will the Saints be resting their key players for a playoff run?

Prediction: Slight chance.

So what does all of this add up to for the final, total amount of wins?
