Tom Brady and New England Patriots Reportedly Close To an Extension
The Boston Herald reports that Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are close to an extension of three years for $58 million, which could be signed as early as tomorrow morning. The newspaper cites sources close to the negotiations.
Hate to say I told you so. Just kidding, no I don't.
Especially not this time.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Before we all get too excited, let's remember that it was the Boston Herald that first broke reports of a supposed Super Bowl XXXVI Spygate tape containing video surveillance of walk-throughs before the game.
Tapes that never surfaced.
John Tomase, the writer who broke that falsified story, still writes for the paper, but it was Ian Rapoport who broke this story.
With several other contracts on the docket—including Randy Moss, who just this morning verbally stated his frustrations for lack of a contract extension—Brady's appeared to be the No. 1 priority among the organization, and its fans.
Now, with Captain Clutch taken care of, all hands can be on deck in figuring out the rest of the contracts.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean anyones contract will be handled tomorrow, next week, next month, or even at all.
What it does mean, though, is that the Patriots are still committed to fielding the team that gives them the best chance to win the Super Bowl year after year.
Hate to say I told you so.
