Packer's 2010 Opponents Entirely Old School NFL Franchises-First Time In Memory
The Packers 2010 schedule consists of only opponents that meet a criteria of Old School or New Original franchises. This is the first such occurrence in recent memory.
The "New Original" NFL franchises are defined by ThePretzelHead as teams in the NFL in 1970 which was the first year of the merger of the NFL and AFL. Out of the original 26 teams in 1970 only 19 have maintained their franchise's continuity and can be considered a "New Originals".
You may agree after some mixing and matching that when any of these 19 teams face each other the games seem somehow more attractive. Rich histories, traditional uniforms (for the most part), fan support and culture and other traditions seem to make the Old School match ups a bit more fun to watch.

For 2010 anyway, the Packer's step back into 1970 with everyone of their games which should make for some aesthetic and athletically exciting mathups. Perhaps this unique schedule can be topped off with a Green Bay vs.Dallas Championship Game and the winner facing the Pittsburgh vs.Oakland winner. Tradition. Tradition.
Here's a quick reminder of those 19 "New OriginalFranchises and an * next to Packer opponents for their unique 2010 schedule.

Baltimore Colts ( How did we lose this? New York Giants at Baltimore Colts or Baltimore Colts travel to Dallas in rematch of Super Bowl V) As you can see, losing the Colts proves my point and continues to be a blow to the types of games the Packers will enjoy for an entire year...New Old School..
