Ndamukong Suh's Fine for Violent Tackle Is a Joke: Goodell Should Be Ashamed!
The NFL has fined Detroit Lion defensive end Ndamukong Suh's $7,500 for a violent tackle by the facemask of Cleveland Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme. In doing this, Roger Goodell has just made a mockery of the entire NFL disciplinary system.
Chad Ochocinco was recently fined $25,000 for using an electronic device on the sideline when he tweeted during a game. Obviously tweeting is three times more harmful to the NFL than placing a quarterback’s life in danger by violently and intentionally flinging him to the ground by his facemask.
The NFL fines players $5,000 for uniform violations such as having the whites on their socks too high or low, wearing a bandana, pants not covering the entire knee, or having an unapproved nasal strip.

They fine players $7,500 for having their chinstrap undone.
$10,000 fines are assessed for very serious offenses such as having the wrong attire 90 minutes prior to or after a game (all clothing must be Reebok apparel) or having a tinted visor without a doctor’s recommendation.
Roger Goodell is saying that maliciously and intentionally trying to injure a player by twisting his facemask falls somewhere between having your socks pulled up too high and wearing non-Reebok clothing within 90 minutes of a game.
The NFL should be ashamed of itself. They obviously care more about their sponsorships than the safety and well-being of their players.
Suh should be suspended for a minimum of one game for his malicious attempt to injure Delhomme but instead is given a fine that he can pay with the cash in his wallet and it’s all for the sake of marketing opportunities for the NFL.
This is a disgrace. Delhomme should pull his socks up, unstrap his chinstrap, wear an unapproved nasal strip, and tweet from the sideline in protest.
