2011 NFL Draft: North Carolina-LSU Game Stocked With Prospects

The 2011 NFL Draft looks as if it can be another draft that is heavy on the Defensive side of the ball. The Chick-Fil-A kickoff game in Atlanta on September 4th (ABC) between North Carolina and LSU is going to make for a nice showcase of that talent.

When North Carolina is on defense, it will be hard not to catch some of the future NFL stars taking the field. Robert Quinn (DE), Bruce Carter (OLB), Deunta Williams (FS), Quan Sturdivant (ILB), and Kendric Burney (CB), are all possibilities to be taken in the early rounds of the 2011 NFL draft.

On the offensive side of the ball, WR Greg Little is a potential high draft pick as well. In 2010, Little led the Tar Heels with 62 receptions, 724 yards and five touchdowns. At this time, we see him as a possible second round or early third round pick.

The Tar Heels will be without star DT Marvin Austin, due to his indefinite suspension. Austin chose not to enter the 2010 NFL Draft so he could return to North Carolina. While it is unknown how this will effect his 2011 NFL Draft stock, it certainly can’t help his matters.

While not overflown with talent, LSU boasts some future prospects as well. Patrick Peterson (CB), Terrence Toliver (WR), Kelvin Sheppard (ILB), and Drake Nevis (DT) give a peek as to some of the names we will be hearing come draft time in April.
