Wrestlers Shouldn't Involve Their Wives in the Business

Josh McCainSep 1, 2010

I'm sure by now many of you have read John Kindelan's fine article about Karen Angle, Kurt Angle's ex-wife, marrying Jeff Jarret.  If not here it is, http://bleacherreport.com/articles/447256-karen-angle-marries-jeff-jarrett.

Go check it out.

Reading it got me thinking, how many times have we seen a wrestler involve his wife or girlfriend in the business only to lose her; most of the time to another wrestler.

It can get cloudy at times given story lines of a "fake" breakup, but this sometimes leads to an actual breakup.

Lets run down the list (feel free to add ones I missed in the comments section):

Kurt and Karen Angle

Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth

Matt Hardy and Lita (to be fair they met in the WWE)

Dallas and Kimberly Paige

Dustin and Terry Reynolds

Sunny and Skip

Marc Mero and Sable

Torrie Wilson and Billy Kidman

Deborah and Mongo McMichaels

Jeff Jarret and Deborah (their relationship could have been story line, not sure which leads me to...)

Steve Austin and Deborah

I'm shocked the McMahon (Vince and Linda and Hunter and Stephenie) are still together.

I don't know what it is really, but it just seems if WAGs become involved with the story lines, especially ones that involve a "fake" breakup or cheating, life begins to imitate art.

So a warning to all of you married wrestlers out there: I know you miss them on the road, but leave your wives at home. You'll have a longer marriage because of it.
