Brandon Spikes' Tape and the 15 Dumbest Athlete Sexcapades Ever

Brandon Spikes, the former Florida Gator and current New England Patriot linebacker, was one of the NFL's top young linebacking prospects coming into the 2010 season. 

I say was, because Spikes may have thrown it all away to get some jollies on the internet. A Chatroulette video allegedly featuring Spikes and a female friend seems to be making it's way around the internet.

At times like this, we are reminded of some of the other boneheaded things athletes have done in the name of sex. Here are the 15 dumbest athlete sexcapades of all time. 

15. Chuck Liddell's Naked Workout

At one point in time, Liddell was considered to be the best fighter in all of UFC, the undisputed heavyweight champion and a general badass. 

Then, he got old, and a video suddenly surfaced on the internet of Liddell and girlfriend Heidi Northcutt working out in nothing but their shoes. 

This would be higher, except it turned out to simply be a marketing ploy by Reebok. We should have known, since Liddell would have torn someone in half for releasing that video without his knowledge. 

14. Reggie Bush's Girlfriend Makes a Sex Tape... Without Him

When Kim Kardashian started dating Reggie Bush, things seemed to be going quite well for the couple. 

Then, a sex tape was released, featuring Kim and rapper Ray-J doing some very inappropriate things. 

While the tape was, in all likelihood, made before Kardashian and Bush got together, it undoubtedly created plenty of awkward moments for the pair. 

13. Denny Neagle Makes a New Friend

Neagle was a major league pitcher for several teams, including the Twins, Pirates, Braves, Reds, Yankees, Rockies and Devil Rays. 

During his 2004 stint in Colorado, Neagle was found in his car engaged with a prostitute. When that was combined with his drunk driving arrest 3 days later, his major league career appeared in jeopardy. He was out of baseball by 2005.

12. The Original Big Brother

Former Aston Villa striker Dwight Yorke teamed up with keeper Mark Bosnich off the pitch, as well. 

The dynamic duo rigged Bosnich's house with cameras to capture their various sexual escapades. The one that hit the public's eye was of Yorke, Bosnich, and four young female fans. Clearly, they were just discussing the team's on-field performance, right?

11. Martellus Bennett

Dallas Cowboys backup tight end Marcellus Bennett has proven to be somewhat valuable as a second tight end during his tenure with the Cowboys. 

But, off the field, he's just about useless. Bennett made the mistake of letting his girlfriend take pictures of him in the buff, then cheated on her. As payback, she released the photos onto the internet. Maybe he'll learn not to cheat on someone who has naked pictures of him.

Yes. Tonya Hardin did make a sex tape. No; I haven't seen it. Nor do I have any desire to. Why? I value my eyesight. 

9. Greg Oden Is Dumb

Greg Oden has been just about useless for the Trailblazers, both on and off the court.

On the court, he's been hurt too often to get a sense of his value. 

Off the court? Pictures were leaked in 2009 depicting Oden in all his glory. Yes, he has definitely been a bust.

Have you wondered why Barber isn't on NBC's football coverage anymore? 

It's because of his affair with a 23-year old intern who had been a babysitter for Barber's twins. The affair was serious enough to end Barber's marriage. The affair cost him his job, and he was such a pariah in broadcasting that even "FOX and Friends" wouldn't take him back. 

7. Chris Cooley Is Also Dumb

Cooley is a tight end for the Washington Redskins. Nude photos of him were recently posted on his myspace page. 

Cooley said they were taken for a girlfriend, and he's not ashamed of them. Unfortunately, everyone else is ashamed for him.

Spikes, shown here opting not to tackle a Rams player, was videotaped receiving oral pleasure from a female companion on Chatroulette. I feel like his days in New England are numbered, although, I could be wrong.

Brett Favre recently came under fire for allegedly sending pictures of his... little friend... to Sterger, a former Florida State student turned sports personality.

4. Laure Manaudou Comes Out of Her Swimsuit

The 2008 Olympics were supposed to be French swimmer Manaudou's coming out party. 

Little did we know how literally she would take that term. 

Shortly before the Olympics, nude pictures of Manaudou surfaced on the internet. She was so devastated emotionally, the Games ended up being a bust for her. 

3. Minnesota Vikings Are On a Boat

In 2005, multiple Vikings players, including wideout Nate Burleson, corner Fred Smoot, and quarterback Daunte Culpepper, were alleged to have had a rather tawdry party on a pair of boats. Prostitutes were flown in from 2 states to play Parcheesi with the team, and an anonymous member of the Vikings said that this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.

What I want to know is: Who ratted?

At this point, nothing needs to be said about Woods' transgressions, save this: why would you cheat on your Swedish model wife, who loves kids?!?! If someone would explain this to me, I'd appreciate it. 

1. Eugene Robinson

Robinson was a three-time Pro-Bowl cornerback, and one of the Atlanta Falcons' best defensive backs. But, on the night before Super Bowl XXXIII (33, for those who aren't up to date on their Roman), he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute, and did not play in the game. His team lost 34-18. 

The day before, he had received the Bart Starr award from the christian group Athletes in Action. Forget the award for a minute; why in the name of all that is good and decent would you solicit a prostitute THE NIGHT BEFORE THE BIGGEST GAME OF YOUR LIFE?! 

Because of his supreme idiocy, Robinson tops the list.
