Phillies Think About It
As I sit here on August-25-2010 the Phillies are 2.5 games from first in the N.L East and Tied for the Wildcard. Last Night was the longest game of the year for the Phillies, and it gave me time to think. Before I move on Hamel's Had another Great Seven inning game with 2 Earned Runs. Charlie Manuel's quote " We are not worried about the Wildcard" rings over and over again. I'm starting to believe when the Braves lose they lose.
Now hear me out. At one point they were 8 games out and Jayson Werth was on the trade topics. They get Roy Oswalt From Houston for next to nothing. The team every night was being blessed with a new hero. Did you know Ross Gload, Juan Castro, Cody Ransom, Brian Schneider in the start of the season.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
You were probably thinking "Oh we got Roy Halladay and basically the same team from the last two years we will be fine" Then no one could hit and it went like this for about 4-6 weeks. Then Injury's began to plague the team. Howard, Utley, Rollins did not help. Over the last few years the Phillies have made a few No-Names very popular. I will just say Raul Ibanez and rest my case. But now they are 2.5 back blowing teams away when the Braves win, But when the Braves lose Suddenly 2-1 loss with 2 hits.
What I'm Trying to say is are they keeping pace? Next three series San Diego, LA, and Milwaukee. Then the next 25 games are N.L East opponents. Includes a FLA Doubleheader and 6 games against ATL. That's 6 games in two weeks. I believe they play and win when they want. And for Hamel's last postseason you were leaving the team the team out to die so that might be why ONE EARNED RUN is all you get.
