It’s not just the MLB stars who are nearing the dog days of their season; the prospects currently toiling in the minor leagues are also rounding into midseason form as well.

Here are the top 30 prospects overall from a fantasy baseball perspective to owners in keeper / dynasty leagues.

Another stud in the Royals system; best player in the Futures Game. Could be future batting champion.

Waiting for Marlins to trade Cantu and put Gaby at 3B

Injury slowed him down; its been the only thing all year to

Very solid pitcher; moved up 1 level each year; already 150 IP guy. Should translate well in the Majors

Monster K numbers; another Braves arm in the system that is easily the best in baseball.

Struggled in the Futures Game; still should be strong arm for Pads roto next year

18 Freddie Freeman 1B Braves AAA 20

People forget about Freeman only being 20 in AAA; could be starting 1B mid 2011

19 Brett Lawrie 2B Brewers AA 20

2B is very thin and Lawrie is best in the NL

20 Jordan Lyles P Astros AAA 19

Jumped past A+ this year and been fantastic. Astros best prospect by far

21 Casey Kelly P Red Sox AA 20

First full year as a pitcher and only 20 in AA; have to remember that. Never pitched from the stretch until this year if that tells you something.

22 Lonnie Chisenhall 3B Indians AA 21

Injured early on and was looking terrible, but healthy now and should be in CLE mid 2011

23 Kyle Gibson P Twins AA 22

Might see Sept callup for bullpen help

24 Aroldis Chapman P Reds AAA 22

K’s are strong, but control issues are going to hold him back for now

25 Wil Myers C Royals A+ 19

Very advanced bat who hit at levels that Hosmer / Moustakas struggled in. RF could be his home.

26 Tanner Scheppers P Rangers AAA 23

Could end up starting this year down the stretch; but future closer.

27 Jonathan Singleton 1B Phillies A 18

2009 high school draftee that is showing a very strong bat and promotion soon. LF could be future home with Howard at 1B.

28 Brett Jackson OF Cubs AA 21

Wouldn’t shock me to see him in the Cubs OF mid 2011. Physically gifted and athletic.

29 Austin Romine C Yankees AA 21

Heir apparent to Posada in NY. Rest assured this prospect isnt going to be traded.

30 Jared Cosart P Phillies A+ 20

Phillies have a loaded minor league org in the lower levels and Cosart is the best arm.

Update: Will not be pitching the rest of the season.
