MLB BUZZ: THE PHILLIES GET THE MISSING PIECE OF THE PUZZLE!

ATTENTION MLB FANS:

The trading deadline is finally here. Many teams have made moves. Some will help, others not so much. In my opinion, the team that benefits the most are the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies have landed Roy Oswalt which gives them one of the best 1-2 punches in the National League. The two Roys will rule the National League. The Braves are playing unbelievable baseball. However, they are not completely running away with the division. I think the Phillies with their starting pitching will make this very interesting.

Statistics show that Oswalt has pitched very well at Citizens Bank Park. He has also pitched very well in the postseason which is huge for the Phillies since they will be in the race until the end. The experience makes Oswalt a huge asset for the Phillies.

Mark my words if healthy, Oswalt will prove to be best move that has been made by any team during this trading deadline. Keep in mind that I am only taking about moves that have been made. I do not feel the Phillies are winning the World Series.

The World Series champion is coming out of the American League this year. Even though the Phillies have a chance of making the World Series, I do not believe they have a shot against either the NY Yankees or Texas Rangers. My prediction will be Rangers overcoming the Yankees and eventually winning the World Series.

Many of you will feel that I am crazy to pick the Texas Rangers. However, take a look at their lineup and then take a look at how well the starting pitching has been all year. The Yankees should be very careful of the Rangers and the Braves should be very careful of the Phillies.
