Darren McFadden Will Have Over 1,200 Yards From Scrimmage This Year
Since being drafted fourth overall by the Oakland Raiders, Darren McFadden has shown a few glimpses of what he is capable of. That game against the Chiefs is a perfect example of what he can do. The issue with McFadden is his inability to stay injury free.
Now if, and this is a big IF, he can stay healthy throughout the season I don't see him having a problem racking up over 1,200 yards from scrimmage. That's just 75 yards a game if he plays in all sixteen.
He will get a lot of opportunities this year both on the ground and through the air. If you ever watched a Redskins game you'd know that Jason Campbell dumps it off to his RBs quite often. Darren McFadden will benefit from this a whole lot. I know you guys remember seeing McFadden wide open in the flat only to have Russell over throw him. I can still hear Greg Papa saying, "McFadden scores if Russell hits him."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
You also know he will get a lot of opportunities on the ground as well. New OC Hue Jackson is going to install a smash mouth type of running game to compliment the ZBS we've been running. I think we are going to see some long runs from McFadden this year. With a power attack he will just be able to "hit it" instead of being patient waiting for his blocks to develop.
Bottom line is I think Darren McFadden is going to have his breakout season this year. We are going to see the big plays we've been expecting to see. He is going to get it done on the ground and through the air.
Mark my word. Darren McFadden is going to have at least 1,200 yards from scrimmage this year. It's just 75 yards a game. He can get 50 on the ground and 25 through the air every week if he's in there.
