Los Angeles Angels Steal Dan Haren From D-Backs
For some time now the Mets, among several other teams, have been linked in trade talks with Arizona ace Dan Haren.
Most insiders and bloggers alike assumed the price tag attached to the 29-year-old hurler, who was 73-52 with a 3.48 ERA over the last five years, would be quite high.
While Haren’s 2010 season has been the worst of his career, his contract is affordable and keeps him under control through 2013.

So with all that going for him, Arizona could only reel in Joe Saunders and a trio of prospects: LHP Tyler Skaggs, LHP Patrick Corbin, and RHP Rafael Rodriguez?
While Saunders, a free agent to be after this season, had a great 2009 (17-7, 3.41 ERA), he is not someone that can step in and anchor a staff, and his 2010 struggles mirror those of Haren.
