Yankees Trade Rumors: Interested in Craig Breslow

According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports , the Yankees are interested in Oakland A’s reliever LHP Craig Breslow .

Breslow, 29, is a left handed reliever who is actually better against righties than lefties so this isn’t a lefty specialist guy. He’s appeared in 47 games this year over 44.2 innings. In five seasons in the majors he has been a consistently solid reliever and has a 151 OPS+ throughout his career.

Breslow is earning $425,000 this season and still has a couple of years under team control so the A’s are not motivated to move him. So the Yankees will probably have to give up a decent prospect or two to acquire him. No word on exactly whom the A’s would want in return for him in a deal or if they’re even willing to deal him at all.
