TNA's Biggest Mistakes in 2010!
Since January, when Hogan broke WWE fans' hearts by announcing he had signed with TNA, we have seen some very odd things in the IMPACT zone.
I won't argue much, as we have enjoyed some things TNA has thrown at us, but some things have just been, quite frankly, pathetic.
Here are some of TNA's biggest mistakes.
The Band!
I used to look at Scott Hall with respect, but the way he ruined his life and career recently with his alcohol problems creates a bad image for pro wrestling.
How could someone who defeated Shawn Michaels in an epic ladder match sink so low?
Hall was arrested on May 14, 2010, and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer. Shortly after the arrest, he and Sean Waltman were released from TNA.
Giving The Band the tag titles was an absolute joke, as Nash, Hall, and Waltman are so stiff that my grandmother would probably beat them. They were so out of shape that they wrestled in t-shirts!
The fact that The Band were practically handed the titles must have been a bit of an insult to the younger TNA tag teams.
Releasing Consequences Creed!
Creed was the first major singles name to be released by TNA this year; he was well-liked by the fans and an asset in the ring.
Creed is best known for his work with Jay Lethal as the tag team, Lethal Consequences. He's been a fan favorite since joining the company in 2007.
Creed captured the TNA Tag Team Championship with Jay Lethal and worked extensively in the X-Division.
His release was just a mistake, plain and simple. He was good in the X-Division and is much better than Orlando Jordan or Brian Kedricks.
Today, Creed signed a contract with WWE. Good move for them!
Not Signing Benjamin!
Shelton Benjamin is a brilliant mat wrestler and has won numerous championships in WWE.
But WWE recently released him. After ECW shut down, Shelton joined Smackdown's lower mid-card with the likes of Chavo, Dudebusters, and Chris Masters—Benjamin did not belong there.
So when he was released, I was kind of happy because I thought the TNA would step in like they did with Christian.
But oh no, Benjamin is now on the independent circuit.
What a mistake!
Not Treating Daniels and Awesome Kong Right!
When Daniels said he had left TNA, I was worried, and then when Awesome Kong left, I had no idea how TNA would win the ratings battle.
Daniels is so talented and was not happy with how the show was being run, and I think it was pretty much the same story with Kong.
Kong was a major influence on the knockout division, as she held the title so many times and made the women's division unique compared to WWE's.
WWE's okay—they have Melina, Kelly Kelly, Layla, and more, who are all sexy, but that's it. Kong was like a female version of Mark Henry and was truly awesome.
TNA should have offered the pair more money and a push.
