New York Rangers Trading Marian Gaborik to Sign Ilya Kovalchuk?

Three separate sources have confirmed that the Rangers may trade Marian Gaborik to try and sign Ilya Kovalchuk.

The Kings and Rangers are talking, and it has been rumored that the Kings have offered Justin Williams and two prospects in exchange for Gaborik.

Another team that has contacted the Rangers about Gaborik is the Toronto Maple Leafs. No known offer has been made by the Maple Leafs though.

Will Glen Sather seriously ship Gaborik to LA, just to sign Kovalchuk? We will have to wait to find out.

If I find any more information, I will try to get it out as soon as possible.

If this is indeed the offer put on the table, it leaves absolutely no back up incase the Rangers do not sign kovy. Keep Gaborik unless they offer kopitar and Johnson/Doughty in one package... wont happen.

I would just like everyone to understand that i did not create this rumor. I have been seeing a lot of websites criticizing my article, and myself for "creating" this rumor. I DID NOT create this rumor, i found it in 3 different spots, and then i reported it for others to hear.

RealKyper Going through NY area was asked if ‎​Gaborik might get moved now that Kovy is still free. Answer to that is zero chance. They love Gabby.
