2010 Fantasy Football Player Alert: Forget About Drafting Darrelle Revis
RotoWorld.com reports that ESPN New York's Rich Cimini confirms that contract talks between the Jets and Darrelle Revis have "stalled," and predicts that the sides will not agree to a restructured deal before the season.
This is bad news for those of you looking to possibly steal Revis, and his uncanny ability to disrupt passing offenses, but alas, there are plenty of quality options for you to take advantage of.
Revis is currently ranked 23rd in DB rankings with an ADP of 178.42, and a projected Fantasy point line of 110.4 for 2010*.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
But what is interesting is not so much his rankings, or ADP, or even his popularity in the current mock draft models, but rather his back-and-forth stance on his contract situation that has fantasy managers getting to the point of saying “forget this guy.”
Before this recent news, Revis was reported on July 11 as “decided a holdout is not within his best interest”…and here we are.
While this story makes for a fine headline in traditional NFL news, fantasy owners gearing up for the 2010 season don’t want to deal with some back-and-forth song and dance surrounding a player and a contract.
So let’s move right past this, shall we?
If we take a look at three players hovering around the same ranking and ADP at DB, we find some fine options that you could conceivably go after in your IDP league.
Richard Marshall —CAR
Marshall was a pleasant surprise in 2009 and ended the season with a career-high 4 interceptions, while tying his career high in assists (13) and coming one short of tying his career high in total tackles at 88.
Marshall is perceived as being in his final year in Carolina which means every single play is a showcase for probable suitors who could pick him up. He is currently ranked 24th in DB rankings.
Brandon Flowers —KC
Flowers broke onto the scene last year and was a wonderful IDP option that most found on the waiver wire (I being one of them and had a ton of success with him).
Flowers ended the year with 5 picks, 65 total tackles, 2 forced turnovers, and 23 pass deflections.
Flowers is claiming to be 100 percent after dealing with his shoulder surgery and the Kansas City coaching staff expect “big things” from him this year. He is currently ranked ninth among DBs.
Leigh Bodden —NE
This was another late-season waiver wire pickup I enjoyed immensely, as Bodden registered 5 interceptions, 55 tackles, and 17 pass deflections.
Bodden is locked up for four years now, and the Pats—among many other pundits—truly believe Bodden was the second best corner on the market. He is currently ranked 39th amongst DBs, making him an absolute steal.
