Money in the Bank PPV: My Thoughts
I am going to get right to the matches that the PPV was themed around.
Smackdown:
I was shocked that Kane won. He's in his 40s and hasn't won a title in at least a decade. Plus, I thought WWE was pushing younger talent.
Personally, my top two choices to win were Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. Oh well, I guess the "Chosen One" has until WrestleMania 27 to get better. I could see him winning the Royal Rumble and actually winning his WrestleMania match. Besides, someone named "The Chosen One" should win on the grandest stage of them all...no cheap cash-ins, no crappy circumstances—just a great, hard fought win.
Raw:
My top two choices for this match were John Morrison and The Miz. I'm happy The Miz won because he has been excellent since they let Cena squash him.
However, if the WWE is rewarding Kane with a WHC due to many years of service, then Morrison definitely deserved it on the Raw brand.
Also, although I think The Miz is great, he has been shoved down our throats a little too much: U.S. Title, Unified Tag Titles and U.S. Title, losing the U.S. Title, regaining it two weeks later, and now Money in the Bank all in less than a year. That's a little much.
The Miz seems to have been hogging every prize this past year, except for the WWE Title. I'm hoping the Miz holds onto the Money in the Bank briefcase until WrestleMania 27 and cashes in. That would be epic.
Other matches
Not very interesting, except for Kane's immediate cash-in on Rey Mysterio. Rey...GET YOUR DAMN SURGERY ALREADY!!!
Nexus interference was boring and predictable. Women's wrestling—boring and predictable.
Tag team match. If the WWE had more than one other tag team, then The Usos would not need to get automatic Unified Tag Team title shots against The Hart Dynasty.
I hope that Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer get a title shot next. They have been looking good on Smackdown, plus they're the only other tag team. No, Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu do not count, because they are terrible. Trent Baretta and Caylon Croft are also terrible. "The Dudebusters"? Give me a break. What does that even mean?
What are your thoughts on the MITB PPV? Or on the monotony of WWE tag team wrestling?
