Manchester United Transfer Targets: Mario Balotelli And Mesut Ozil
With the World Cup in South Africa coming to an end, the focus of attention will soon shift to domestic leagues.
And to one of the most important times of the year, the transfer window. It's here where the foundation of success is built.
With Manchester United finishing second behind Chelsea in the league and being knocked out by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Sir Alex Ferguson indicated that there will be changes to keep the Old Trafford juggernaut rolling.
Many names have been linked with the Red Devils over the past few weeks such as the Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano and Dutch World Cup hero Wesley Sneijder. Here I am going to discuss two of the most talented young players being linked to a move to Manchester United.
Mario Balotelli
Here is a player who Sir Alex Ferguson believes could be the next Cristiano Ronaldo of World Football. The super talented, super athletic Italian 19 year old, Mario Balotelli.
The Inter Milan striker is described by many as potentially one of the best young strikers in the world. His three-year career at Inter Milan hasn't been great by any stretch of imagination but he has shown glimpses of his massive talent.
The striker's arsenal of weapons has all things that truly world class players need to have. The 6'3" striker has got pace, he has some great tricks up his sleeve to bamboozle defenders, and has a hammer of a right foot.
Just like Ronaldo, Balotelli is a master of the dead ball situation and has scored on numerous occasions with wicked free kicks.
The one big question mark about Balotelli is his attitude, he has fallen out on numerous occasions with team-mates, fans, and his coach.
But given Sir Alex's ability to tame fiery youngsters, who can bet against him to transform this mountain of raw talent into the World's Best player.
For the moment Manchester United are battling it out for his signature with rivals Manchester City.
Mesut Ozil
One of the best players in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Ozil has shown everybody the true quality he possesses.
The 21 year old youngster plays as an attacking midfielder. He was at the center of the German onslaught that carried them to the Semi-finals of the World Cup.
Ozil posses great passing skills, he showed them time and again during the World Cup, picking out team mates with pinpoint through passes. The young midfielder also has an eye for goal.
With Paul Scholes now nearing the end of his career, Manchester United are in need of a quality play maker. Ozil is one of the most able players to full fill that role.
After Wesley Sneidjer rejected the chance to join the Red Devils, Sir Alex Ferguson has made Ozil has his prime transfer target.
Ozil has one year left on his contract and a fee of close to £20m will be enough to prize him away from Werder Bremen. But United face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea for his signature.
