Source: Yankees Offer Montero, Jeter's Girlfriend In Exchange For Lee
A new twist has been added in the Cliff Lee sweepstakes, a source in the Yankees' front office has confirmed.
Lee, currently with the Seattle Mariners, is this deadline's biggest trade piece, and is likely to demand a high price in return. Though rumors that the Minnesota Twins had offered two of their top prospects, catcher Wilson Ramos and outfielder Aaron Hicks have been shot down a source recently confirmed that the Yankees have also entered the bidding with an offer of Triple-A catcher and designated hitter Jesus Montero and current shortstop Derek Jeter's girlfriend. Montero would fit the mold of an impact hitter that the Mariners are reportedly seeking, and, as our source put it, "Who doesn't like a hot piece of ass?"

Asked if Jeter would object to the deal, the source opined that he might, but New York third baseman Alex Rodriguez would "help him get over it."
There is no news yet on whether Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik had accepted the offer, though most think that he is waiting on bids from other teams who are pursuing Lee, including the Twins, Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Tampa Bay Rays, and Philadelphia Phillies.
Lee, who won the American League Cy Young Award in 2008, declined to comment on the possibility of being the first ever player traded for another player's girlfriend.
Reports that Boston Red Sox GM Theo Epstein has made a counteroffer of pitching prospect Casey Kelly and Kevin Youkilis's favorite transsexual prostitute are as yet unconfirmed.
